This is a very nice restaurant with a huge patio that includes a pool and the very best and highest terrace in Antigua, bar none. The Food served is eclectic but catered to the tourist i.e., American, European palate. Prices are on par with anything you'd expect in California: 13 USD Burger, 10 USD sandwich, 3 USD water, 25 USD grilled salmon, 8 USD salad, 6 USD craft beer. Not bad, f you were in US but... you're not. The service is attentive and professional and the atmosphere is cool with classy yet not overly stuffy music. Staff mostly speak Spanish.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aqua Antigua restaurant and I must say it was a truly amazing experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with an open air layout that allowed for plenty of natural light and a great view of the surrounding area. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was simply delicious. The menu was diverse, offering a variety of traditional Guatemalan dishes as well as some more modern creations. The flavors were bold and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend Aqua Antigua restaurant to anyone visiting Antigua. We are so grateful to have stumbled upon Aqua Antigua when we arrived a few days before New Year - despite the sit down meal options having sold out, there were still entry passes available for the night and we were given a wonderful overview by one of the main staff members, who happily talked us through the events of the night and what we could expect if we came along. However, he didn't try to push us into buying a ticket there and then, and encouraged us to look around at other options if we wanted to, with the assurance we could buy entry tickets on the night itself. After looking around the space we were certain we wanted to come back, as it is GORGEOUS. A patio, a terrace, a pool, and a wonderful ambiance awaited us. The NYE party was exceptional - classy, fun, and definitely worth going to. We also met the owners who are lovely, wonderful people who clearly have a passion for the space they have created - they also introduced us to Carajillo's and for that we are eternally thankful!
Definitely a place to go if you are in Antigua :)

The food was amazing and the service was even better. While I would not call this place “cheap” you definitely get what you pay for: quality food, drinks, and service.
We planned on just stopping by and spent the entire day there and came back two more times.
First place we will go if we ever go back to Guatemala!

Went here for dinner last night and was blown away at the beauty of the place and the taste of the food/beverage. The waiting staff were extremely kind, gave us blankets because they saw we were a little cold, and were provided the best service possible. I got a steak with a wild mushroom sauce and let me say…. best steak I’ve ever had and that sauce was out of this world. Wish I could’ve met the owner to let him know!

This was a memorable night. I took my family who were visiting from the US and we had a fantastic time. We were sitting at the corner with a fire pit. The tapas we had were excellent. We also had a 3 cheeses pizza that I had never tasted before. If you like Brussels sprouts, please try the ones on the appetizer menu, they are excellent. The owners are super friendly and very professional with their customers.

Our group of six people (27 to 38 year olds from the US) booked VIP dinner and after party at Aqua Antigua for New Year’s Eve 2023. It was reasonably priced, and everything was absolutely amazing: The atmosphere, staff, service, hospitality, food, drinks… everything! The dinner was classy and the party was a blast! We cannot recommend this place enough. It was a beautiful setting for a wonderful celebration. The rooftop terrace is the highest point in the city center and offered a perfect ~360° view for all of Antigua’s fireworks, as well as the frequent eruptions of Volcán de Fuego. You can’t go wrong with Aqua Antigua whether you’re looking for a relaxing dinner out as a couple or a fun night out with friends.

Terrible service! We made a reservation for approximately 20 people who were family and the service was very bad. The place had plenty of space available and then 8 more family members arrived and wanted to charge us extra for the space even though we were consuming a lot. We talked to the manager and we told her that we didn't have to pay for the space since we were consuming a lot and that if that was the case we better leave and the manager told us that there was no problem if we left, obviously I don't think that manager is the owner anymore. I prefer to stop selling. The whole group went to the Adobe Restaurant where they gave us excellent service!

Nos disculpamos por los problemas que experimentaron durante su visita a Aqua Antigua el fin de semana pasado. En el último minuto, su grupo creció de 25 a 50 personas y no pudimos reorganizar las mesas para dar espacio a su grupo que terminó siendo más grande porque ya teníamos reservas previas para cenar con otros clientes en el área del restaurante en este fin de semana ocupado.

Wonderful venue. we had a large group (16) and the entire evening was handled beautifully by the entire staff.
From the moment we entered the very attractive restaurant the entire dinner went off without a single issue.
Drinks were all different and delicious.
The apps. and meals came out on time an and the right temperatures.
If ever in Antigua again will most definitely come back.
Additionally it has a wonder outdoor seating
area for those who enjoy outdoor dining

Aqua Antigua is an absolute hidden gem! Their food is amazing, service is top-notch., and the atmosphere is always cozy and inviting. Every staff member we met was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome and right at home. We will definitely return and recommend Aqua to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience and fun night out!

We were in town for 2 weeks and came here several times. The food, drinks, and staff was amazing! The special event dinner was so good as well (which I’m told is done monthly) definitely worth it! Props to the owner for keeping sketchy Guatemala internet working for the Super Bowl party which was so fun! I look forward to returning on my next visit!

I went to put my feet in the pool after my meal and then got a $20 charge for it, despite there being no signs posted etc. I tried to talk to the manager about it and she seemed to get very reactive very quickly. Maybe she was having a bad day or something, but really never should treat a customer that way.

As the owner of Aqua Antigua, I strongly adhere to the policy of 'The customer is always right' and carefully review all customer feedback so that we can continue to improve. However, occasionally, we encounter customers like you — individuals who, out of a sense of entitlement, choose to post negative reviews filled with falsehoods.
Firstly, you chose to ignore the multiple signs leading to our pool, which clearly state that a fee is required for day use. Secondly, a member of our staff placed a bracelet on your wrist, handed you a towel, and explained the day-use fee to you (in English). Despite this, you proceeded to swim in the pool and lay on one of our poolside lounges for more than an hour (all of this is confirmed on our security cameras). Lastly, you used our showers and changing room before you left. During your visit, you consumed no food or drink, and as you walked out, you complained to our staff about how unfair it was that we charged you to use our facility, even after being offered a discount as a courtesy.
We strive to offer exceptional customer service to all our guests. Yet, we acknowledge that there may be entitled individuals whom we won’t be able to satisfy. Therefore, we prioritize our efforts on the 99.99% of honest guests who truly appreciate our products and attention.

Aqua restaurant in Antigua is the most amazing restaurant I have ever been to. The romantic and mesmerizing atmosphere is magical. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is very good too. Try the Tuscan chicken or the Taco sampler.If you go to Antigua, visiting Aqua is a must. Don’t miss out on the most beautiful rooftop terrace with the most spectacular views of the volcanos.

Every time I visit Antigua I end up at Aqua. The environment during the day is resort’ish and shifts throughout the day, ending up with a romantic scene at night. Great place to spend all day. The staff is quick and efficient while being friendly. I feel at home there.

We went to Aqua for dinner and drinks one evening whilst in Antigua. The staff on check in were a little hostile but once inside it was great.
We reserved a roof top table and there are great views overlooking the city.
Live music from the DJ have a good vibe.
We had snacks and cocktails and all were very good. On the expensive side for Antigua but a good spot for an evening.
