On a busy market street in the city center you can hide from the crowd and have lunch or dinner. Best thing is you can pour your glass when you wish. This way I always enjoy a cold drink. Everyone is very friendly.

Went for a friend's birthday celebration and was surprised to find it so empty. However we highly recommend the wild boar and it was nice to see a different menu for Bulgaria as they can often be so similar. Great selection of different meats. The beer was also a novelty factor we enjoyed and it was very reasonably priced. Would... More

Who doesn`t like to drink beer at summer?! This is the perfect place in Plovdiv, with the best beer which everyone can pouring on the table and eat very good meals.

This is a classic germanic gastropub, with your own beertap on each table, so you can drink as much as you want without bothering to order new drinks every time your empty. The variety of sausages and other pubfood fits the style very well. Will go again.

Nice atmosphere. A bit difficult to find but worth the time. Kitchen closes at 22h30. Service at 23h00. Just a bit early for Bulgarian standards,

Service was very good. The beer was great and I loved the tap on your table with the meter to get the house unfiltered beer. The food was tasty and well cooked. Very substantial and non PC on the calorific front. Just the ticket for a dedicated beerologist!

It gets really busy so you may need to book.Easy to find just down the street after the underpass by the Ramada hotel.Give it a try ,it's... More

Ok, this place is a little hard to find. I just followed the directions given in previous reviews and was still a little unsure when we went down the correct stairs. Worth finding though, they have an English menu too so I didn't have to hassle my partner to read it for me. They even have a decent vegetarian selection,... More

After seeing the reviews we headed to this place on a Thursday night. We noted it was hard to find but if you find the modern shopping with a big DM the ale house is below it. It was very quiet but the novelty of pouring our own beer was good. The food was also excellent. The home made salami... More

Great place and great beer - serve yourself - pure heaven!! It is down stone steps and has a very small sign at the bottom. Saying Ale House, nice place and quirky. Service was really good and waiting staff attentive. Good atmosphere and good value for money. Recommend you book if going to eat in the evening. A little out... More
