We come Tamnak Lao Restaurant for our 1st dinner in Luang Prabang. Because we have to pay deposit for their cooking class. No disappointed. A very good Lao food and must try their tasting menu. The food is great and the price is very good. Don't forget to make a reservation. BUT their service is so so.

Our return dinner was enjoyable and the food still of a high standard However we sat on the front balcony and after the arrival of a group who went inside, we were forgotten, which rather spoiled the evening

Read about this place before we tried it - didn't disappoint but then again we didn't really know enough about Laotian food to say if it was authentically good or not . All the dishes tasted good with the exception of the beef casserole which had a lot of mixed up and confused flavours with really chewy bits of beef... More

Whilst one of the better restaurants in tow, it definitely won't break your bank. Quality of food was pretty decent but it wasn't amazing either.

The very first restaurant we tried in LP was Tamnak Lao. We asked the staff is there any meet in spring roll, she replied just vegetable and no meat but it comes with mince pork. One of the desert we ordered didn't come to us and we are still looking forward. Finally the service staff just listened and didn't order... More

we enjoyed very much the Laotian athmosphere on the outer balcony on the first floor, concurrent with the quality dishes we savoured with pleasure. Inside the restaurant the place seems, however, more geared to tour groups Still, it was an enjoyable and tasty experience

We had a good Lao lunch here, on the balcony of this old colonial style building. Service in Laos is always a bit off, with language or cultural misunderstandings. No exception here. That said, everyone is doing their best and is friendly. Extensive menu, including special notations for diabetics and vegetarians. Tasty food. Would definitely recommend and/or go back.
