The coffee's good, and the pastries and sandwiches are first-rate. Add a quiet, classic, unfussy ambience and impeccable service, and overall it's my favorite café in Luang Prabang -- or anywhere else.

Visited several restaurants at LB, but this is the only one that was spot one ! :) Superb food, good service, clean and great entourage. We had breakfast and diner, both recommendable, enjoy!

This cafe has my pick for this end of the town. The coffee is great, with some modern methods to try out. Food was not as good as the coffee, but not bad in any way. With a small group of friends, this place is easy to spend some time in, it's quiet but social.

Loved the pain bagnat so much that we kept on coming back for more. Other sandwiches were very good as well. Friendly service. The restaurant is on the main road of Luang Prabang old town, but more towards the quieter end. It has a few tables on the side walk but the rest of the restaurant is quite 'open air'... More

We ate here around 5 times. The food is just amazing. The service is friendly and quiet. Try their Laotian, French and Thai menu.

I chanced upon Le Cafe Ban Vat Sene as i walked around after a massage down the street. The food is reasonably priced and nicely presented, a wide range to select, from western food, to Laos to tribe food. The staffs are very friendly, very efficient in serving. Clean and nicely designed toilet and free wifi are available as well.... More

Reading the previous reviews, it seems like it is more popular for breakfast, but we decided to try it for dinner. We really liked the ambiance and the service, which was spectacular. The food though, was just okay. The fried rice was well done but the egg noodles with pork was not tasty, possibly because it is not fresh noodles... More

With apologies to Le Banneton I meant this review for Cafe Ban Vat: It is easy to find on LPQ's main artery. Located in a pretty old colonial era building it offers a good variety of food: Lao to French and salads to full meals. The salads alone are fabulous. The lettuce and other veg are freshly picked. The "salade... More
