Went here on our first night on a recommendation from a local person. The welcome was nice similar to the other restaurants along the strip and food of a similar price maybe a bit higher. Fajita for one will set you back UED79 plus 11 or so per different meat you add. Starters are about UED 35. The starters are... More

Went with some friends as we were visiting Dubai from Abu Dhabi for the day and we were actually really in the mood for Mexican food and we found El Chico as we were walking around JBR. We placed an order for the Guacamole that they make in front of you, to only be told 10 minutes later that the... More

Honestly, this was the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life. The portions are so big. The beans and the burritos are perfectly made with passion. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Service was very good & attentive. Food was probably better than your average TexMex place. Beef brisket burrito and ( not on main menu), vegetarian burrito were both good, no complaints at all. Pricey though, but that's the thing with Dubai..., it's all dear!!

-Bcos PPL Opinion Matter- I just came from this restaurant, we ordered shrimps fajitas and chicken casadeias. I felt the food is very oily and the shrimps are very commercially frozen from cans or something! Even the bread is the same. The problem is if the prices of the meals are cheap or below average, then I would understand. But... More

Terrible experience last week. Food was really bad. Guacamole was tasteless and the main dishes bad quality. Beef with a lot of fat. Fajitas were not good at all.

The food was okay, but nothing special. We had different things like an enchilada, a burrito, a taco, chili con carne. It was getting cold very fast and not a special taste...no salad or something fresh. Just okay

Our favoite TexMex (all the way from its original in Dallas, Texas) in Dubai. We always order the quesadillas, big burrito and chimichanga with a couple of Mexican Flag drinks and the guacamole made tableside. Yummm!

Staying in The Marina

Neighbourhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
