Good tender beef, not much selection on sides except for the typical cheese rice and French fries. Nice atmosphere.

Situated behind a rather unimposing front which belies the standard of the food, El Gaucho churarasqueria (barbecue) provided one of the tenderest and most flavoursome steaks that I have had in Bolivia. Portions are immense and if you are alone it is best to opt for 'media'. Also to be recommended are the 'papas fritas' (Chips to you Brits), they... More

I can't say it's the best steak I've had in Bolivia, nor the cheapest. It needs more flavour or some sauce (other than pimento) to make it more interesting. Ours came with chips, no veges and mine was cooked medium instead of 3/4. We were the only customers to start with and had a few drinks whilst we waited for... More

I asked for a "bife chorizo" the meat was quiet good, but what I really liked is the service because this is hard to find in Bolivia. I'll return to try "cuadril" :D

I went to this steak house because I checked at tripadvisor, the restaurant is not fancy, but the meat was incredible, you should try the Saraza, it is awsome!!! Tender meat with fried potated and salad. Definitely once I come back to Sucre I will visit again.

Some believe that only with light the charcoal and throw the meat on the hot iron, you get a good barbecue. But let me disagree. It is not easy. The roast must "give the right spot," must "have hands." It's like the "duende", "Magic," "art," "feeling" ... the most is the dedication to entertain a friend, to enjoy with family and all loved ones. They are the "essence droplets," attributed to who takes pride in its mastery in any art or craft. We're talking about sealing the meat, the first blow heat to form the crust to prevent the juices out, the distance from the coals, to prevent rapid wear and get a roast slow the rest of the meat shortly after cooking, to develop their full taste. Today families in the capital of Bolivia can see that elf, learn magic, art appreciation and above all feel on your palate Argentina habit of the "asado" by the hand of a friend ... "El Gaucho"
