My friend and I arrived for an early dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant had a few people in it, but not busy. Our server seemed to be the host and only server in the place. He was not at all friendly (something I had read about in previous reviews) and when he came to take our order, he... More

My son & I stopped in while on a visit to U of Mich. Being from Chicago, we are foodies. So perhaps our expectations were too high. The appetizer & noodle entrees was greasy. The chicken in my noodle entree was over cooked. I had really hoped we would have enjoyed our meal. Oh well...

First time here. Parked on the street behind the establishment. A very short 1 minute walk. Enjoyed the lunch special menu. The restaurant was quiet and had many seats available. Service from Kurt was excellent. The salad was somewhat blah, but the tom yum soup and chicken pad prik was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We're always seeking good Thai restaurants when we travel, and Marnee Thai sounded interesting. We went for lunch, and our reception was without enthusiasm, as was the service the rest of the meal. One man was taking care of the restaurant, and he cruised up and down the tables, sitting at a desk between cruises. Never a smile, and we... More

Recently had dinner here, not impressed. My vegetables and chicken had overcooked veggies. My husband's dinner was better. He had the chicken with ginger and the pineapple fried rice. Both were fine. Our waiter was very nice even though he was taking care of the entire restaurant.

Good food however they did not have Massaman curry my favorite. Nice ambience. Did not like slick floors to wslk on way to restroom.

If you've been to Thailand - or anywhere in Asia for that matter - you are well aware that the integrity of the cuisine does not always survive the distance from there to here. The ingredients, the culture, are not the same; resulting in an Americanized version of an attempt in authenticity. That being said, Marnee Thai is - in... More

Was in the area on business and the group of guys that I was with wanted Thai food. Marnee Thai was within walking distance of the place we were working at so we decided to try it. I ordered Drunken Noodle and I was awesome. I got a side of fresh chilies which really added to the flavor. If you... More

Pretty decor. GREAT location. Food is o. k., but a little bit expensive. What really strikes Me, about My visit here, is that Frank Sinatra music was playing on the PA.

Came here with three friends. Poor service.... Very slow. Coconut soup had mushrooms that had failed to rehydrate and were akin to wood. Chicken satay appetizer had one (out of four) inedible piece of chicken. Very subpar experience overall.

The Thai word “Marnee” literally means “gemstones,” which are dazzling, colorful, and highly precious. Thai rubies and sapphires are very well known all over the world. Similarly, we at Marnee Thai carefully select high quality herbs and ingredients to make sure all of our Thai dishes retain their original authenticity. Our first Thai restaurant in the U.S., Lotus Thai (opened in 2002, on Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor), has been well received by customers who seek authentic Thai food. This enthusiastic reception encourages us to open our second restaurant in the U.S., right in downtown Ann Arbor, Marnee Thai.
