Everyone says "Go to Zingermann Roadhouse! It's the best!" Well, yes and no. Their fried chicken is really good!! But as for their subs...they're good, yes, but a little pricy for what you get. A shrimp sandwich for 19$?? And 80% is bread?? I recommend it but it is a little overpriced in my opinion.
This is my family's go-to restaurant for special occasions in Ann Arbor. We have been here several times since we first discovered it. It is usually busy, even on week nights, so I would recommend a reservation. The menu changes seasonally and I have never been disappointed. 5 stars!
First time here. Because of it's reputation, we went here. A local friend recommended, although surprisingly, he had never been before either. Pros: Food was pretty good. Not great, but it was solid. Cons: You're gonna wait. Period. Service was marginal at best. For what you get---I thought it was very expensive. I think Outback or Bonefish are much better... More
Right off I-94 west of Ann Arbor is this high-action eatery. This is a place for smoked meat dishes plus others smothered in cheese, etc. In other words, yummy! The bread was excellent as well. My nephews chowed on the highly touted Mac n Cheese. I found it pretty good but not quite up to hype. I had a ham... More
It was crowded at lunch but service and food delivery was prompt. Many interesting menu selections. Food was plentiful and delicious. Waitstaff was as nice and as acomodating as can be! A bit pricey but not outrageous.
Went to dinner before a UM bball game with 9 family members and had a great time. Mac & Cheese and sweet potato fries were amazing. I had the half rack of ribs which were the best I've ever had, great smoky barbecue taste that fell off the bone.
I had breakfast at Zingerman's Roadhouse and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. I had two eggs over grits with sausage and rye toast. The coffee was freshly brewed and was outstanding. Highly recommended. It was not inexpensive but worth every penny.
