We saw a sign as we came into town about great burgers. We had planned to just picnic as normal. The we saw all the locals filling the parking lot. Stoppedin and all kinds of dec'd out for Halloween. Very nice and clean and so cute. Clean restroom! We both had burgers plus an order of fries & onion rings.... More

My wife and I recently stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service . I had soup and salad and my wife a burger, fries and a shake. Even if the place was not a stones throw from the middle of nowhere I would go back.

The restaurant opened at 6 am and we were there at 6:15 for breakfast. The dining area was decorated for Halloween and the Hostess was very happy to tell us about the decorations and about the vintage photos on the walls. One of us had the one egg breakfast and the other had a biscuit and gravy. One ordered a... More

The Toiyabe used to be a regular stop coming home from high school rodeos that were in towns on highway 50. Stopped by on the way home from Ely. Walked in about 10 minutes before closing and was greeted by a gal yelling we are closed. We closed at 4. My son look at his watch and said it's not... More

We are traveling thru NV on the loneliest HWY 50. We heard Toiyabe Cafe had great flame broiled hamburgers!! Well we heard completely wrong!! These hamburger patties have never seen a flame!! And the meat was questionable!! More like steamed than broiled or flamed!! I ask for charged rare. No can do!! Very disappointing!! Service was also lacking!! We will... More

Dropped by for lunch in our way through Nevada. Couldn't get any attention from anyone. The waitress served locals that came in after us and still didn't come over. The cook was cleaning tables and we had to ask for menus. When he brought them I asked what is the soup of the day and as he backed away from... More

This is the only breakfast option in Austin but it did not disappoint. The coffee was great, the pancakes, eggs, and sausage were delicious. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is decorated with a lot of interesting memorabilia. What more can you ask for while you are out on the road in a remote area?
