Good place for dumplings and crystal noodles. No one speaks English but the menu card has an English version which was quite helpful. It's a little crowded during peak hours but there's lot of space too. People move in and out of the restaurant so we did not have to wait much. Service is good with smiling faces.

We visited the place during Ice festival time after reading tripadvisor reviews. The restaurant was busy and it might be the reason the staff was not coping. We live in China and do know what to expect from local places but this experience was not good. When plates arrived they were not washed properly and we should have left then.... More

For an Indian traveler with no language aid in China can be a daunting and adventurous proposition, but King of Dumplings made it all easy. The menu is self explanatory, each food had a corresponding description in English and also some photographs to go with. The staff courteous and cordial and very affectionate having realised, that my friend and I... More

I have been traveling to Harbin on a consistent base for long time and this is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The first time I went was in 2006 and I liked the local handmade dumplings (jiaozi). Now it became a chain in franchising but it still kept the habit to make the dumplings manually on the spot... All the food was fantastic. The decor looked like a restaurant. You can watch them make dumplings. Ate there twice. Value for money was very good.

Another branch of a good chain. Quick and friendly service, reliable and consistent food. Has lots of options other than dumplings as well.

The dumplings are great - many varieties and all freshly made - but try other dishes too. The fish is excellent as is the cold noodle salad. No english menu when we went (nor was there one at their Shangzhi Lu branch) but both restaurants are extremely busy so you can point to dishes that others have ordered if you... More

This place is ok. Those who crave dumplings loved it. As for me I could take it or leave it. For the most part dumplings are pretty tasteless. Very bland and a variety that all taste the same. The best part is it is across from St. Sophia church. If you can get here there is plenty of seating (traffic... More

Super friendly, and good English too. Great selection of dumplings and other regional specialties. Nice to have a 'fishbowl' view if the kitchen and food prep area -alas no photos allowed to protect their 'many secret recipes' I was told. Great food & draft beer.
