What a place! Brussels bar felt like a bright oasis in the very centre of Wuhan. A real home away from home. David, together with all the staff, were always extremely welcoming, professional and friendly every time I walked in. It doesn't matter if you're...by yourself, with that special person or with a group of friends, this bar will change your experience of Wuhan for better. The lovely staff, the incredible history of the bar and an open terrace with a panoramic view over the Xibei lake will certainly build memories that will endure. This bar dates back from the 'old school' expatriate community era of Wuhan and is still a legend among expats and natives. If you're in Wuhan or planning to go there, it is a 'must' and absolutely mandatory to drop by for a nice cold beer, a tender steak and to taste the genuine History of Wuhan.More

I enjoyed my visit to the Brussels Beer café so very much. It surely is the best place to go to in Wuhan. The lake behind creates a lovely and cozy atmosphere and David -the owner with the beard and the motorcycle- is the perfect...host. My favorite beer: Kasteelbier Brown. Great taste.More

Having worked in Wuhan for many years ,the bar was a meeting place for many foreigners. The atmosphere was always great. Lovely place to unwind and have a drink and food. Met many local Chinese who become friends for life. Great bar David.

One of the best places to go in Wuhan. The owner is supper nice as well as the staff. This was the first bar I went to in China and I have gone back so many times because I loved it. Great service and drinks,...and the food is amazing. A lot of foreign restaurants in Wuhan start closing at around 8:30pm but this place has food till midnight. And its not just Bar food you can get steak (my fav), salad, burgers, and wraps. To top it off the atmosphere is great. The bar is outside a nice pond that lights up in the night. Loads of foreigners to talk to and makes the overall experience just perfect.More

A lovely and welcoming foreign-style bar in a busy shopping area of Wuhan. Friendly staff, good food and drink and a pleasant atmosphere that brings the expat community together for a good time. Would highly recommend to both locals and expats in Wuhan.

I have been coming to Brussels for 7 years now and cannot gush enough about what a great bar it is. David, Milly and Jack make it a very inviting place to visit, always friendly and welcoming. Good music , great food and the best...G & T in Wuhan. The community in the bar is fab, you can pop down any day and find someone to talk to or some sport to watch (at all hours!).More

Brussels has been my watering hole in Wuhan for almost 3 years now. I couldn’t have found a better place for an expat first moving to China. Full of friendly expats and Chinese, always with any sport you want to watch almost at any time...and the best drinks Wuhan can offer. I was also very impressed with the food as Brussels beer garden has a great steak and duck dish amongst other favourites. Staff are always warm and welcoming at Brussels and I’ve never had better service anywhere in China. Introduce yourself to the Belgian owner Dave whose always up for a chat to make you feel at home. Sit on the balcony with a beautiful view of the hankou city lights and north west lake. All in all if you want to have a great start to your adventure in Wuhan, Brussels beer garden is the best place to start.More

What a wonderful surprise to find a gem of a bar in central China. I had a wonderful night drinking some Belgian beers I was familiar with but the best part was the bar owner who was able to introduce me to several amazing beers...I had never had before. A nice mix of local and expat. The bar has an intimate atmosphere complimented by an attractive view of the lake. You won’t be disappointed.More
