This is a small but cosy place - clearly popular with locals as well as tourists, as can be seen from the small group of people waiting to get in at lunchtime (though it turns round very fast). They bring a complementary soup at the start - seafood is great, fresh and well-presented. Modest place and great value.

As a starter you get a very tasty fish soup as a courtesy. Plates are big, enough for 2 women. Warm service. Many fish options. Good value for money and charming decoration.

Had to wait 30 minutes because there was a cruise ship that had landed and about 30 or 40 frogs were in there eating lunch! They would walk out, take a cigarette break and then walk back in which caused the 30 minute wait! The place is nice enough, very quaint, very friendly and humble waitresses. The food was very... One of the typical dishes in Cartagena is a fried fish (usually mojarra or pargo) with coconut rice and patacones (fried green plantains). This place had an awesome version of it, with crispy and well seasoned fish and awesome sides! Would visit again! Also, well priced, but bring cash, as they prefer it!

Barato, buena, bastante It covers the 3 points and the cost performance was high. The restaurant was located on one of the side street with a security guard. There were around 20 tables, the front section was better with aircon. The waitress gives you a simple menu to choose from. They bring out some chips and soup that's included in... More

This is a very charming restaurant decorated in a very unique and innovative way. We received great attention from the servers and ate at a private smaller room which was very charming. The food was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely worth the visit and trying the best local cuisine. The atmosphere is very casual and we were asked... More

Don't mistake informal presentation from phenomenal food! Shrimp Malaya was served with avocado on a fried plantain thingy. Egads! Delicious! Come here. Don't wait

La mulata is pretty hyped up and I must say the margarita was top notch! We came for an appetizer to see if we'd want a full dinner another time. They are not known for carne but more for their seafood and fish dishes so we decided to try the carne just to see if it was ok. It seemed... More

Went with a few friends, knowing that it had some notoriety in papers back home (WSJ/NYT etc.). If didn't let us down, the meal was very good. Service was a little slow, maybe some of the meal sides weren't the best I've ever had, but we had a lovely experience with overall excellent food.

The food there is delicious!!! Check for the opening hours and if you can try to reserve because it's a really popular place. It was a bit long before we get our plates and I think they mixed ours with another group because it was exactly the same plates.. but who cares we had good time there !
