Enjoyed a lovely lunch in a quiet, cool restaurant with very tasty food and good service. I had the fish of the day, which was a deep-fried whole sea bass and my partner had the sea bass fillet Cartagena-style. Both were superb. With 3 drinks, the total was USD 60 or so. Will definitely go back when another chance arise.

This was our 1st restaurant we went to during our stay in Cartagena. We were not impressed. My hubby and I ordered 2 paella dishes and mine was bland and his was great (maybe it was because it was with coconut rice). Anyway, we were bummed and kind of traumatized because we thought our entire trip will be us having... More

There are many restaurants to choose from in the walled city. This was one that was recommended by hotel. It is a small restaurant and only three tables were taken. The food is good. The wine is good. Compared to US pricing, it is reasonably priced. And they have a guitar player / singer. He was very good. Loud enough... More

We visited this based on a local recommendation. We arrived in Cartagena very late, and got to the restaurant only 20 minutes from closing. Nevertheless, the staff was more than accommodating, and even the musician there continued playing for us, even when we were the only patrons. The food was excellent: the red snapper was cooked perfectly, as were the... More

Based on a recommendation by our hotel down the street, we stopped by this restaurant for lunch. The food was very good — especially the local-style seafood paella. However, the service was extremely slow, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. There were more staff members than customers, yet, it took a very long time for our drinks to be... More

Lunch was suggested by my guide, and I was not disappointed. Well-prepared and flavorful fish, wonderful veggies, and great ice cream for dessert. One of the nicest meals I had while in Cartagena. Excellent service and a very charming restaurant.

There are many choices for fine dining in historic Cartegena and by comparison Palo Santo does not fare that well. It is a charming location and one of the few that has not caved in to the trendy bare tables. They indeed have table cloths. The garlic mushrooms being whole did not absorb enough of the otherwise garlicky essence and... More

This restaurant is unfortunately very average. We had the ceviche (unfortunately the fish had a fishy taste - meaning it wasn't that fresh). The presentation was nice. We also had a pasta which was ok and a paella like dish. The pictures in the menu make the dishes look really good but the taste was average. Service was just ok.... More
