Recently dined here…the Pros: the food is stellar…we had two of the table side “experiences” the mozzarella and the cacio pepe….the preparers were both enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy making it for customers…we watched as they did several other tables. Food is expensive here but...everything we tried was excellent…the Cons: upon entering the restaurant we were left standing in the doorway and ignored by waiters, the bartender, the bus staff. No one had the courtesy to even say “welcome, someone will be with you” . I felt this was the height of rudeness for a restaurant of this caliber. And we watched as others came in and we’re also ignored. Next a table of guys was loud and obnoxious tossing the “f” bomb around and no one in the restaurant asked them to refrain. The wait staff seemed indifferent (except for the chef/preparers doing table side services). Our waiter barely asked if you liked your food or had any questions…we were celebrating a birthday and the waiter never even took notice or inquired if it was a special occasion. So yes the food was 5 star food, but the attitude/mood of staff is a 1. For what you pay service definitely needs serious improvement. Is it so hard to train every staff member to greet people who walk in the door. If you’re not happy working there go somewhere else. If there was an owner there he/she never visited our table to see if we were enjoying the evening.More
We have been trying to eat for quite sometime and finally got a reservation for the enclosed patio area. First the food was Excellent and unfortunately the service was beyond lacking... The servers hardly paid any attention to our table , had to request a...second drink , remove dishes , etc. With pricing high we expected much more. The patio room was ok however there were large groups (probably conventioneer's) and in particular one table of four that were so loud that it totally disrupted our special evening. Upon leaving I mentioned such to the owner and I felt was not genuinely received. They obviously don't need us with the wait list but for the money spent the atmosphere and service didn't match the food!More
We were fortunate enough to get a reservation for 5:00pm on a Friday evening. Parking can be valet but at that time we found a spot close by on the street. Inside the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly staff who were so attentive....We were celebrating an anniversary. Homemade bread and olive oil were brought to our table as soon as we ordered. We ordered the homemade mozzarella which is beautifully made at the table with prosciutto and in house roasted red peppers. Caesar salad made at the table top notch! My husband ordered the veal parmesan and I had the homemade potato gnocchi. They were both outstanding. I also ordered when ordering my meal the homemade on site sfogliatelle . The whole experience here was beautiful & so glad that we had a chance to celebrate here. Our adult kids told us to make sure we got there and what a great recommendation.More
We were fortunate to enjoy this dining experience. The food was top Notch, the service excellent. The biggest challenge is arranging a reservation. It’s proximity to casinos only increases the lure of diners.
My wife and I ate at Cafe 2825 for our anniversary. Parking was easy, and we were escorted to a nice little table in the outside covered dining area. The wait staff were excellent, polite, and on top of everything. Perfect service. We started off...with appetizers, she got clams oreganato, I got the spicy honey shrimp and calamari. Light, bursting with flavor, absolutely scrumptious! I forgot the bread. It's made on the premises, and it's delectable. But don't fill up on it. Next came our Ceasar salad. They made it table-side. It was fantastic. Then came the main course. The wife had lobster and shrimp scampi. I got the veal Oso bucco. Not sure I can describe the culinary perfection that was the main course. Everything melted in your mouth, the meat, the carrots, the potatoes, her garlic heaped pasta, the lobster,... it was all beyond incredible. It was an understated deliciousness that exploded in your mouth. Nothing was overbearing or over done. Just perfection. We got dessert to go, as we were both bursting. NY coconut cream cheese cake. We ate that when we got home a bit later. Again, home-made. Again, so damn delicious it should be illegal. There is nothing I can criticize about the entire dining and eating experience that is Cafe 2825. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth every cent. We will be back. Often. You need to go, you will not be sorry.More
62 Redials/15 mins ..Not a whole lot of trouble to get a reservation for great restaurant! The process is very clear on the message of how and when to call to get a reservation. Patience, you just hit redial, not a big deal. We enjoyed...everything about this 15 table little gem. We were seated immediately, never rushed, great service and fabulous food. We ordered the table side mozzarella which was delicious. Our entrees came out in a timely fashion. We split the special” strawberry crumb/cheesecake that was huge and delicious. We can’t wait to return with our son and future daughter in law for another fabulous meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here.More
What an amazing meal. The chef and his wife are amazing and the entire evening was exceptional! The hand prepared burrata was the best I e ever had!
Tableside Mozzarella, Pasta, and Salad. All of it wonderful and tasty. Service very attentive. Owner is on site making sure you are enjoying the great meal. One if the best in AC.
Cafe 2825 is one of the best restaurants we ever ate at. The food is fabulous and the service is impeccable. For appetizers we had the table side cheese wheel pasta and a zucchini flower. We were a party of 3 and our entrees were...veal rollatini, chilean sea bass and chicken parmigiana sauce trio. The flavors of all of our entrees were so robust, complex, and award winning - absolutely delicious! For dessert we had blueberry cheesecake which was the best dessert we ever had. The owners are such wonderful, nice and pleasant people. We highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back to this wonderful restaurant in the near future.More
Good food, ok service. We walked in without a reservation and were able to be seated thankfully. It was a wednesday night though. They have an closed in outdoor patio with heaters out the back. It was beautifully decorated for christmas.
The food and friendly atmosphere will definitely have us coming back for return visits. We had heard about the table side preparations and were not disappointed. We had the buratta and it was delicious.
The food is not that great. Good, but not great. Gimmicky B.S. They are too special to ever return a call for a reservation, and if by chance you can get a walk-in, the owner is a rude beeee ATCH! Sorry I bothered them with...my dollars and patronage. NOPE NOPE NOPE.More
Last night we had an early 5:00 pm dinner at this restaurant. My sister’s boyfriend recommended it. I thought I had several favorite Italian restaurants: well add it to top of list!! They make table side mozzarella. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! We ordered prosciutto and...red peppers for it. So GOOD!!! We had the shrimp oregano with spinach. It was superb. We also had a steak that melted in your mouth. Bread is delicious. Service is excellent! Best ricotta cheesecake EVER!!!More
