Went with my wife. They were out of a porterhouse on a Saturday at 7 pm, which is a tough start. Crab/shrimp martini was soaked with dressing. The ribeye they did have was great but we were splitting it and they brought it out on...a single plate and no additional plates, so we had to share it off a single plate. “Why didn’t you ask for another plate?” Would’ve but we didn’t see our waiter for 10 minutes and didn’t want the steak to get cold. Creamed spinach, like the crab/shrimp, was waaaaay too creamy. I will say the steak was delicious, which was the lone positive for the meal. Overall, service wasn’t great and the experience was meh. If you’re going to act like you’re a top-tier steakhouse (Luger’s, Old Homestead, etc.), then you better operate like one.More

We had a great dinner with friends. Service was excellent - especially our waitress, Tori - she was amazing! She was on point with everything from the moment we sat down. Food was delicious --- we enjoyed the entire meal which included the executive seafood...tower, NY strip steaks, Chicken Paige (highly recommend), Pepper Crusted Tuna, chopped salad, au gratin potatoes & spinach. We will definitely be back!More

Used to love this place but had an issue with salads two days in a row. First day, had chopped salad as an early dinner...salad dressing was inedible due to too much vinegar. They still charged me. Told me they would make it up to...me. Went back next day for dinner. Caesar was overly strong but was edible. He took off a coffee and beer.. Not even the price of a salad! Fed up. Ridiculous. Will go to Chart House next time.More

Horrible service, food was not as expected, extremely expensive. Don't mind paying the price in an upscale restaurant but would expect the food to be of better quality and service to be impeccable. Definitely will not eat there again. Will not recommend.

I always book Landry's when i am not certain there is something else better out there. I have been going to Landry's properties for nearly 2 decades for personal and professional meals. I do not believe this one is up to the standards. 1) We...waited for our table nearly 45 minutes after time of our original reservation. There was no real acknowledgment of it - just an unfortunate price of admission i guess. I would have expected a manager to come out and apologize or maybe offer a cocktail while we waited. things happen - we know. it's not what happens, it is how you handle what happens and we did not feel like the staff valued us enough to handle this in a more professional and courteous manner. 2) Once seated, our very nice and professional waiter came quickly and introduced himself. no complaints there. 3) drinks took a while. it was crowded, but again, no acknowledgment or apologies. just hurry up and wait. I understand that's not completely out of the ordinary, it is simply not my expectation from an establishment of this reputation. Travelling with the family, dinner is our night out. I have no problem paying the money at these types of places, but i expect a certain level of service and this simply was not it. 4) tuna poke appetizer - weird but flavorful - literally had 6 cubes of tuna in it. definitely on the cheap side considering its about $30 appetizer. 5) We ordered a filet and a strip medium rare (i asked closer to rare than medium and he agreed it would be a cool pink center) to split between myself and 2 kids. The filet was cooked nicely but just ok from a flavor standpoint. the strip was awful - it was overcooked to medium well and looked like a strip i would expect at Texas Roadhouse. it was thin and wide and no crust with huge borders of fat and gristle. I should have sent it back - but we saw our table-neighbors send something back and things only got worse for them from there. We opted to just accept this as a bad dining experience and make the best of it - for $550. My wife ordered scallops and they were mushy and ugly and all we could taste was red bell pepper. This was a top rated restaurant in AC with a line out the door. To say it was a disappointment would be an understatement. There are so many better options at this price point. Look elsewhere.More

Outstanding. Our server was fabulous. I believe her name was Paulina. She was on point and extremely attentive . We ordered a massive seafood tower, the slab bacon, a pear/ goat cheese salad, a tomahawk for the table and a few sides. Our server recommended...a lemon basil martini that was delicious. The ultimate ending was the insane dessert that was finished table side. It was a chocolate ball that they poured some hot chocolate or caramel sauce on. It opened up to this banana fosters ice cream and it was to die for!!! We enjoyed every moment in this restaurant!More

It was cooked as desired. I had to go to...the kitchen to inquire inquire where my food was. The Manager and Waitress were of no help. Indicated it was normal. The side of Foie Gras was limp at room temperature. Not even offered a drink or dessert due to the wait. Why take a reservation if you cannot deliver? Not offered anything off the bill! Vic’s Steakhouse is located in the Golden Nugget Hotel. It is on the Marina with luxury boats and a nice bar with live music. The restaurant is located on the second floor. Usually, I wouldn’t say I like hotel restaurants, but this one was memorable....We started with Caesar salad to share and their delicious crab dish. For the main courses, I had the sea bass, and my family had the filet mignons. The steaks, mushrooms and mashed potatoes were all delicious. This restaurant was costly but worth the experience. The service was impeccable and memorable.More

The front desk is getting money from customers they put me in back of the reservation list. Only...to serve the the people giving money upfront. I spoke to the manager and mentioned it to him. He told me to my face that’s not happening. I told him don’t insult me. I saw it right in front of me.To make things worse he decided to put me in the hallway outside of the restaurant. Where drunks pass by. At this point I just wanted to eat and leave. Totally disrespectful,More

We came here for a special occasion. Saw that it was pricey and close to 5 star but didn’t mind that as long as we got what we paid for. The entrees were twice the money of what you would pay for in a decent...restaurant so we thought we were in for something special. Instead the entrees were all sub par, but my particular entree was a chefs special filet migon dish. I asked for medium rare and it was way undercooked and nothing like the waitress explained how it would be prepared- “a thin red line with pink around it.” It was also covered in a very fishy tasting sauce with dry tasting lobster pieces- not fresh at all. The broccoli rob underneath had a dirty grill flavor to it. The only good thing was the fingerling potatoes which wasn’t worth the $79 I paid for my meal. I did not want to make a fuss because we were there for a special occasion so I choked the meal down so as not to waste it, however I have tried calling the manager 3 times the next day and all I get is an answering machine to leave messages with no call back. We all felt it was a waste of money and took away from the special occasion. Unless the manager tries to do right, we will not be spending our money at this restaurant in the future. Next time I’ll make sure to go to a truly reputable restaurant especially for any special family events in the future. Sad this is what you get even after seeing good reviews. Basically a rip off!!More

This was our first visit to V&A. We came in a Monday night at about 7:45 and was told they were no longer seating by the hostess. I told her that online they were still accepting reservations and I could just do that. She said...she would ask her manager. The manager came over, glanced at the screen and let us be seated. Mind you not so much as a simple or welcome from her. The decor is very .... old school strip club. All red lights were sexy but dark. Our server Maddison was very nice and very helpful. We had the whole Bronzino ($50) served with 2 sides. I have never seen such a meaty Bronzino and it was delicious. We also order an 8oz filet mignon ($68) served alone. I ordered a side of bernaise and a side of peppercorn sauce. I think they were $7 each. The filet had a nice crust on it. If I went back because you were paying, I wouldn't reorder the filet. Because of the red lighting I'm not sure if it was overcooked but it could of been better. We ordered a side of Mac n Chz ($14) and other enough for people to share. I like the pasta used and the crumbs on top. Next time I would order the mashed potatoes or a baked potato. There are just too many other places in town to make this your first choice. I think the people who rave about it do so because of nostalgiaMore

I will NEVER return. I almost left before even being seated and regret that I didn’t. The best thing I can say about my experience is that the chair was soft and the knife was sharp. Otherwise it was a horrible experience. My son and...I wanted to treat dad/husband to a great steak dinner for Father’s Day so we made reservations at Vic and Anthony’s for 8:15 pm. We read some good reviews and had high expectations. We arrived at 8pm and I approached the hostess desk to put In my name. There were three hostesses manning the desk. A crowd of patrons were gathered around. I patiently waited to speak with a hostess. When I finally was able to speak with one, she was rude. I stated my name and mentioned that my reservation was for 8:15pm. She told me to come back at 8:30pm and then she would maybe be able to tell me about how long the wait would be. At this point I began to understand why the patrons were gathered around and were grumbling. I looked at her with a quizzical look and she rudely said she couldn’t give me an approximate wait time because she didn’t know. So we took a walk and returned at 8:15pm. I again approached the hostess desk and informed the hostess that I returned at the time suggested and wanted to know about the wait. I was very rudely interrupted by a patron who was loud and leaning on the counter saying he was doctor so-and-so and had been waiting. This same patron and his son appeared clueless as they stood in the way of the entrance/exit to the restaurant forcing bar servers as well as exiting patrons to squeeze around them. I overheard other patrons saying they had been waiting for a while. This is the first time the thought to leave crossed my mind. I deferred to my husband and he wanted to stay. And so we did. This time we remained close by and struck up a conversation with waiting patrons. One stated her reservation was for 8:30pm. The rude hostess remained rude. The excuse used was that people were staying too long in their seats. As people left they started to seat the more obnoxious patrons. As I waited a group of six came up and said their reservation was for 8:30pmthey were seated before all the others. Eventually everyone else was seated. Those that came before me and those that came after. I walked around the corner and saw three open tables. So I mentioned there were open tables. She replied we aren’t seating there. It is now 9pm. My patient husband had enough. He said to the hostess we are the only ones left. She replied that there would be tables opening up soon. Once we finally got seated the wait staff brought out bread and butter. We were starving but could not eat it I had to request bread plates as there were none on our table. I looked around. All the other open set tables had them. When we got our plates and began eating I wished we hadn’t. The butter tasted freezer burned or that it sat open in the refrigerator for two weeks. It wasn’t good. We all ordered salads. It took forever to be served salad. A table of four young men were seated well after us and received their appetizers at about the same time as our salads came. I ordered the arugula salad which was dressed with too much lemon juice and salt. I can not recommend it. My husband’s wedge salad was drowning dressing. No balance whatsoever. When our waitress took our orders she failed to ask my husband how he wanted his filet cooked. He had to flag her down to ask if she knew what he wanted. She said yes medium well. He replied no, my sons is medium well. I would like mine medium. Well, it didn’t matter because when our meal cane, the waiters didn’t know the difference. When they presented my husband with his plate containing just a hunk of meat he asked if it was the medium or medium well. The waiter asked what he ordered. He said medium. The waiter said it’s medium. Well, they had them switched. My well done filet was not butterflied and hence was DRY. Our waitress was unpleasant to say the best. She could probably sense my mood since I had to ask for bread plates and refuse to look at me or address me when asking how things were. At one point my 19 year old son was looking over the drink menu and she came and pulled the menu from his hand and said the desserts were on the back. He was offended. For such a pricy restaurant - 48 dollars for a dry 6 ounce filet served on a large cheap plate with absolutely no garnish or thought to presentation and twelve dollar baked potatoes - I expected better food and better service. To repeat my opening I will NEVER return and suggest you eat elsewhere.More

Remember this is a restaurant located in the middle of a casino. With that in mind, well behaved children accustomed to dining in an adult atmosphere will enjoy their dinner. Diners around you will expect to do the same.
