Most amazing food and warming friendly staff at this restaurant. Such a great experience during our dinner Celebrating a Birthday at Chef Vola’s. Looking forward to returning and indulging in the mouth watering Devine menu that they presented. The staff (Mary and Gianna) were amazing...and friendly, they treated you as if you were a family member. Highly recommended that you try the experience of this absolutely amazing place.More
Chef Vola's is a special place. Difficult to get reserved, I know why. In a converted house a half block off the boardwalk near the Tropicana, there are many small rooms where guests are seated. The waitstaff is exceptional. Attentive, knowledgeable, helping each other. The...food though is number one. Simple salads done perfectly. Great entrees from their classic pounded, breaded and fried veal chop, to chicken, a great choice of fish, and of course pasta. The pistachio crusted red snapper with a honey mustard sauce was exceptional. Willing to customize any item on the menu. All in all a great dinner. BTW, you BYOB, wine only.More
The food was great. The reason for the mark down is due to the waitress failing to give my son with Down syndrome a menu for the main meal or a dessert menu. Both times we had to ask for an extra menu. She offered...our party of 5, salad service for 4. My son ordered his own food and drinks so why she assumed he was not capable I can’t figure out.More
Went on recommendation from high end local business people. Flounder and chicken Francese wer so soaked in oil they were inedible. High end Olive Garden for the great salad and bread. Upper Floors are not level, so seating is a balancing act. Server was kind...but hurried. Huge disappointment.More
Our party of 5 was seated quickly and on time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Veal chop was the highlight of the evening, best I ever had! portions are plentiful. If there is room for dessert, get the banana cream...pie.More
Chef Vola's - what's all the hype about?! It's about a dining experience you would expect when you sit down with your family to enjoy an authentic Italian home cooked meal! From the moment you enter you feel as if you a part of a...family and then reality hits you when the smells from the kitchen comes upon you. Posh Foody was greeted by owner Lou. But then we witnessed that Lou greets everyone as if you are his family. This was great to see knowing that the food would be treated with the same love & respect that the owner has for all his customers.
So call Chef Vola's now to make a reservation since it will be approximately 3 weeks minimum before you will be able to enter. Is the wait worth it... ABSOLUTELY! Make sure you mention Posh Foody to Lou when you go!!! Bon Appetit !!More
I’d give Chef Vola’s 6 stars if I could. The food was amazing. I had the veal park, my wife had the chicken parm, and we shared a side of penne with bolognese sauce. We knew it was BYOB, but ran out of time to...stop before our reservations. They were kind enough to send a runner to a nearby store to pick up a bottle of wine for us. Delicious food, great atmosphere, fantastic customer service. We’ll be back!More
If you are looking for an old school Italian experience of the Boardwalk Empire style days during Atlantic City Boardwalk’s heyday you don’t have to look any further than Chef Vola’s where you feel like you will have to know the special knock on the...door for them answer. You can’t just walk into Chef Vola’s or call them up, use grubhub, doordash, etc. to order from them. You need to leave a message for them to call you back after you advise the day and time you want to dine with them (and be sure to give a month or two advance notice) and they will tell you if you’ve been accepted and confirmed or if they are fully booked. They were allowing take-out, but you still had to know the secret password to order with them, but they have now ceased doing take-out orders. Well let me tell you no matter how you dine with them, you need to make sure you do. They food was absolutely delicious and amazing. I had the Milk Fed Veal medallions with Peppers, mushrooms and onions, sautéed in extra virgin olive oil and Garlic that just blew me away how great it was. I normally don’t eat veal or enjoy it most times, but it was recommended and let me tell you it is a must order if you go. The veal was so tender I was able to cut it with just my fork and the flavor was suburb throughout the dish. Also served was House Salad made with iceberg & romaine lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, pepperoni, sharp provolone cheese, black olives, pepperoncini peppers, chopped red onions and garlic croutons, topped with anchovies with their house extra virgin olive oil/balsamic vinaigrette dressing served on the side, broiled half of chicken cut up, and Butterscotch and rum ricotta cheese pie.More
