The oyster house is one of the oldest restaurants in Atlantic City. It was passed down through generations. The restaurant looks modern, there is a piano bar, and 2 floors of dining. We ordered the oysters, the flounder and one of the specials of the...night for main course. The food was delicious, service was fast. I recommend making reservations in advance as it was crowded on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is also located 2-3 blocks away from the Caesars Casino/Boardwalk, so walk with someone after dark, as certain areas can be sketchy. Overall we had a great time, would recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting Atlantic City!More

Classic old school restaurant. Very busy place, eclectic crowd. Plenty of seating. We didn’t have a reservation but we were seated within minutes. Attentive waitstaff even though they were swamped. I tried the crab stuff flounder and a bowl of Maine chowder. Both were fantastic....The flounder had a nice cream sauce and lots of crabmeat! The Maine chowder was very light, white base with fresh clams, celery and potatoes. Both dishes were seasoned nicely. Prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. Good value for the money.More

Made reservations for dinner 9pm received a text message that they had earlier times so I took it. We didn’t know that there was private parking for the restaurant so we parked on the street. We were seated within 1 minute of arrival. Our server...Lauren was very attentive & professional.I tried the fried oysters and they were tasty and well done. The restaurant had a very new and renewed ambiance. The food was tasty and came in a timely manner. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting the Atlantic City area.More

A group of us dined here on a Wednesday night. We walked from the Tropicana and regretted that decision due to the neighborhood surrounding neighborhood. Once inside the restaurant we all were impressed with the decor. We started out with some oysters, shrimp which were...huge and the Maine chowder which was probably one of the best I have ever had. For the entree I ordered the fillet medium rare which came with Mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fillet came with a gravy sauce on it which I am not a huge fan of, as I like the fillet to stand on its own. The fillet was overcooked slightly and was forgettable, and the mashed potatoes were lousy. Service was very good and the tiramisu was excellent. Would try again if in the area but entrees need a little more focus for end product.More

Fabulous dinner along with excellent service provided by Adam. Delicious cocktails to begin the night (check out the cucumber martini) along with fabulous apps (love the grilled octopus.) Dinner entrees never disappoint at this “must visit” establishment in AC- all guests in party had some...type of seafood and it was outstanding. Save room for dessert- plenty to choose from and worth the indulgence. Love going to Doc’s…More

This was one of our best dining experiences, by far, in a really long time. We weren't even seated for 5 minutes and our fabulous server immediately came over and greeted us. He was very prompt with bringing the wine bottle menu and then bringing...our bottle of wine. They have an extensive wine list with mostly pricey bottles, but a few affordable ones and they were nice wines unlike other restaurants. We split the delicious Caesar salad. The kitchen did that for us and we weren't charged a petty split fee like other restaurants. My lobster tail was huge and amazing. It was perfectly prepared. The side of veggies was generous and equally as yummy. Normally veggie sides aren't that great but here...YUM. My husband ordered the NY strip. He said it was good but a little undercooked. He was ok with it and he enjoyed his dish. Our server was excellent. He was on target and prompt. None of this "we are understaffed and the kitchen is backed up" like other places. This was, by far, the best dining experience in a looking time. And, no petty fees snuck in. This is a pricey restaurant but a real treat in times when service levels are at an all time zero.More
