The entrance to this place builds expectations as it meanders through a dark but perfectly lit, mangrove filled boardwalk. But at the main desk (it's also a small hotel), the 2 people seated there didn't greet me (and i walked out and tried again the next day..same story!), neither did the wait staff in the empty restaurant. I had to... More

My wife and I sat for almost an hour outside waiting for a waiter to take our order, when we finally did go to order drinks they were out of Coca Cola, so I decided on a Corona, which they were also out of. Then we continued with our food order, we were going to get 3 sushi rolls. The... More

Went to have sushi for lunch after I had picked up copies of the menu to show to our tour group. When we arrived we were told that they didn't prepare any sushi dishes for lunch. Our meals were very expensive and poor quality.

Service is terrible, food quality is low and its highly overpriced. Avoid this place, Puerto Ayora has very good food and restaurant offering.

After being politely greeted and shown a table outdoors, we proceeded to wait 10 minutes before asking for a server. Then she came and with a snarl on her face she gave us the menus without saying a word and left. My mom had a positive experience here before and it was our last night to enjoy a meal so... More

The nice location is the only thing that recommends this place. The food was TERRIBLE...soggy chicken sandwiches (all three of them) mushy undercooked French fries and freezer burned calamari. I lived in Ecuador for four years from 95-99 and know that complaining doesn't get something removed from your bill...they just don't care. I did tell them that they should be... More

The restaurant has one of the best views in all of Puerto Ayora. If you are okay having an occasional sea lion near your table, I'd recommend sitting outside on the patio. All of the dishes we tried were tasty and the staff was friendly.

The food was spectacular! Local dishes were excellent! Enjoyed the coffee at breakfast and the different juices. The yogurt and pineapple were heavenly along with many of the fish dishes that were served.

Had a great dinner with good sushi and friendly service. My husband and I chose the Red Mangrove Aventura Restaurant to have a romantic dinner and celebrate our anniversary. Were not disappointed in the choice. Both of us are pretty big on sushi and have to say that the rolls and Nigiri we had were pretty good. The wine was... More
