To be fair, the food I received at le Cigalon was very good. Pasta boulanaise, pesto, and marinara were all very tasty but I wasn't allowed to enjoy his burgers, steak, or fish. Supposedly the grill wasn't taking any more orders but other people were being served those exact items.

We thought we'd try it to get dinner a little cheaper one night (staying at Le Meridien). It's close by, but the pizza is just OK.

We have enjoyed a pizza dinner and a pasta dinner as well as a meat dinner on three different occasions and each time the meal was of good quality and very tasty. At the end of the dinners the bill was a pleasant surprise, prices of the plates were very reasonable, good value for money.

I liked this restaurant so much I went for lunch more than once. The specials are really good. Also fun to sit on the open air terrace and have a cold Hinamo beer. On a particularly warm day we sat indoors in air-conditioned comfort.....that room is much more stylish. The various fresh fish dishes were excellent. The staff is attentive... More

I can't imagine lower quality food. Pizzas were nearly inedible and disgusting. Service was just as bad. Want to throw up

My husband and I stayed at the Le Meridien hotel before and after our cruise in French Polynesia. We stumbled upon this small, family run restaurant. We found it to be charming. The young children played on the patio not far from our table. Three young men played a keyboard and sang local songs. Then, they sang Stand By Me... More

We ate here several times during our stay The food is freshly cooked and it offers a varied menu and at about 6000 franc for two meals plus beer a lot cheaper than the meridian Food can take a while to arrive if they are busy so leave yourself plenty of time and please note they aren't open all the... This is one of the 2 options for dining outside the extremely over-priced Le Meridien hotel. The food is fairly good quality and reasonably priced. The night we were there only one waiter was on duty and he had to do everything (serve, bus tables, cash out, etc.) Needless to say, service was slow. We ordered pizza but were unable... More

As other reviewers we wanted somewhere other than Le Meridiene to eat. We were a family of 11. The host quickly assembled a table to suit us in airconditioned comfort. As it was between Christmas and New Year not everything on the menu was available. In good English he advised us on the best options for us. A reasonably priced... More

I was booked at Le Meridien hotel as the stop over for half a day after a cruise. Went to the museum of Tahiti which is a short walk. On the way back we stopped in. I had the curry shrimp with coconut milk and my wife had the shrimp with ginger, scallions and garlic sauce. Both dishes were very... More
