We read many excellent reviews so had dinner here one night. The food was fine but not great. It was more expensive than most places in the area. You can eat inside where the decor is eclectic and interesting, or on the patio. But it is on the main highway so there is not view.

Beyond our expectations. Gaya is a very nice European style restaurant with amazing food. We had three starters and drinks and it was great. All very fresh and delicately arranged. The restaurant itself has a very good atmosphere both inside and outside. Amazing and friendly staff. Will surely visit again.

This is real treat, set back from Birtil Harding highway near to Kololi craft market. Not all taxi drivers know where it is and there was no signage when I was there. Once I had found it the effort proved to be well worth it. I called there especially for Coffee and Cheesecake on a personal recommendation. I did see... More

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Gambia Art Hotel. It was such a nice change compared to all the other restaurants in Kololi. The restaurant has very nice vibe/beautiful setting. It has multiple vegetarian options. We choose the risotto, which was very good. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, they had forgotten to mention that they are closed on... More

I'm shocked this place is only ranked number 10 on TripAdvisor for Kololi. It is by far the best spot in the area - a league above all the so-so restaurants close by. It was a little quiet when I arrived there, but finding this place is like stumbling upon an oasis in the midst of the hassle of Senegambia... More

Arrived in The Gambia on the 6th April and made straight for Gaya Art Cafe. The menu had changed since our last visit two years ago but it did not disappoint! So good we made four visits over our two week stay making our last meal at this fantastic restaurant. Try the Piri Piri prawns and the Calimari For starters.... More

As we always experienced, helpful, friendly staff located close to "the strip", so easy walking distance from most hotels. Fascinating art and decor, along with a great menu, and even beautiful serving plates and dishes to compliment the delicious food. Very reasonable prices (though wine on the expensive side) and would be certainly 3 times more expensive if transported to... More
