The Jewel Indian Restaurant is located around Senegambia area where many fine restaurants are located. Jewel is another good Indian restaurant in Banjul. I had sizzling seafood with rice and it was not bad (see picture attached). The restaurant has variety of Indian food and I felt that the taste depends on the amount of spices you want in the... Found ourselves on the strip for the evening and at first while looking what was on offer for dinner we weren't sure on Jewel Of India from the outside and also not read any TA reviews so unsure we decided to give it a go as not had an Indian for some time. First impressions of the restaurant were good,... More

Brought the correct sauce but the meal was ruined. Please dear restaurant owner if you advertised mixed grill on your menu find... More

Highly recommend this restaurant at the bottom end of the Senagambia strip. The food was high quality, authentic Indian food served by very friendly staff. There is a live singer Thur-Sunday nights singing from a backing track and whilst it might not be to everyone's taste it was very entertaining.

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed after being recommended that this Indian was one of the best and better than back home. I chose the Goan fish curry and the fish was very dry, it must have been cooked separately then added into the sauce. My husband had a madras and he said it was just a thick gravy sauce, there...
