Great food and good wine in an area which this seems to be alien! The staff are very attentive and friendly. The owner makes the time to say hello and asks how everything is; a very welcoming touch! The ambiance is great as well as nice romantic lighting. I would recommend Bomras to anyone visiting Goa.

If you're a foodie (fine dining ) and you've left Goa without a meal at Bomras, you're missing something. The simple, open outdoorsy place has its perennial fans....like us. We come here for the delicious Burmese tea leaf salad, the seared beef salad, the Pork with crispy crackling, the steak, the lovely passion fruit pannacotta... these are some all-time favourites.... My wife and I took 65 foreigners to Goa for our wedding in October and Bomras ended up being the favorite restaurant for all. The location was incredible sitting about a 10 minute walk away from the Taj Holiday Village where we all stayed. The outdoor ambiance was great. They even had fans outside to circulate the air during the... More

My husband and I have been here several times and would highly recommend it. The food is excellent. It is well presented and tastes great. I really like the tea leaf salad for starters, curry for main and the creme brûlée for desert.

We were told this was a highlight restaurant of the area, this is not so. The food is very average and the prices are absurd for India. As we visited Burma earlier this year we thought a Burmese restaurant would offer superb food. The food had little in common with our experience. The service was acceptable except for the maitre... Before I started to write this, I was trying to think of one thing that I could fault (as most reviewers tend to do!). There is really none. Loved the ambience, loved the warm, friendly service, loved the tamarind and pomegranate martinis (yes, they were delightful) and thoroughly enjoyed every dish that was served up at the table. The highlights?... More

Had heard much about this restaurant, so went with family and one year old grand child. The restaurant has acceptable very simple decor and ambiance. The furniture is functional and the lighting in the evening adequate. The service orientation is very good and the manager-host, Chris does make it a point to circulate with all guests and ensures that you... More

Subtle flavours, well-cooked everything, great service and a chatty host (Chris), an interesting tamarind Margarita and a pretty outdoor setting. Try the slow-cooked pork. Top marks! With the heat, lunch might be rather sweaty. Go for dinner for a tranquil, tasty and beautiful Goa experience.

The trouble with making this recommendation is that while Chris and his team are just fabulous whipping out a lovely mix of local and global fusion food. You can't help but feel a tinge of self centered desire to keep this a secret place for only you and your friends. But that would be a travesty as Bomra's should be... More
