Had a perfect evening meal here accompanied by a classical Indian music trio, great service and good, reasonably priced, wine. We were made very welcome, and the service throughout was exemplary. We will go again.

We did not stay in the Malabar House but had a lovely high quality meal in the well decorated restaurant. Extremely tasty food and friendly service. A bit costly. We recommend, taste the graavad snapper.

I tried a Kerala specialty of fish marinaded in spices and cooked in a banana leaf. I have forgotten the name but it was one of my best meals. Our service was a bit haphazard - we waited a long time for our wine to arrive and then it was the wrong one but the amazing food made up for... More

Very interesting preparations of local food and great deserts. We actually went back a second time. Local band plays at night. They have a wine bar upstairs. Good service with tasty wine options.

Was at the bar and had some drinks and enjoyed the installations around. the hotel itself was really charming and am sure the rooms were good too. The service at the bar was really lacking and careless and if that speaks for the services at the hotel and the restaurant it would be sad.

Malabar House is a wonderful throwback to the colonial era. The rooms are all unique but definitely are not top scale. The hotel service is very accommodating and friendly (true everywhere in India we found). What we found lacking was the restaurant which was highly rated and may have just been having a bad couple of days (we had 2... More

Pricey but quality. They accommodated us even though we arrived as the kitchen was closing. Live music, picturesque setting in an old colonial house. Inventive cuisine based on traditional recipes.

When in Kochi we do not always stay at Malabar House but we always have at least one meal in their excellent restaurant Lovely ambience, great food and reasonably priced Indian wines ( which have improved a great deal)

Interesting hotel with lots of art. Our room was very nice. The central courtyard is attractive with a small pool. We didn't swim there, it seems a little too public! Food was very nice with good service. I would recommend this hotel.

Dinning in the courtyard of this hotel is really quite magical and in previous years we have had wonderful food and service here so this year we were looking forward to a special evening but sadly it was not to be. Although the restaurant was not particularly busy the service was sluggish and indifferent and we chose two different starters... More
