Having visited this restaurant on two occasions, four years apart from each other, I can't but give praise to the service and the food I received on both occasions. Rama is an excellent cook, prepares every dish from scratch and never anything in advance. We took a cooking class the day after visiting, which turned out to be a half... More

The food was delicious and the owners were incredible. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy some delicious food and a great chat in Jaisalmer. The owners are two of the best people I met while traveling in India.

There have been different experiences with different individuals, it how we look forward to next person. Yes, the Lady/owner of the place is sweet spoken & I found her very friendly. We asked for few items but unfortunately they were running out of the same. The lady comes to us and offered some other recipe which we tried and found... More

I have never been treated so disgracefully in a restaurant as I was in 8 July. After breakfast I went to use the bathroom, and was told I could not use toilet paper, so I didn't but I used some tissue to blow my nose which I put in the bin. As I came out of the bathroom, the rude... More

Husband ate here alone for dinner then we went together the next day for lassi. He was very happy both times with the service and quality and I enjoyed looking down into the fort with my lovely saffron lassi. No more expensive than anywhere else in the fort and the owners were very attentive.

They (or she) are expert in making a fool of their visitors. One sweet spoken lady was there. Who prepared and served us a small vanilla ice-cream scoop for Rs. 100! And added apple pie which was not worth trying and having odd taste for which I paid rs. 40 extra. So we paid total rs. 140 just to have... More

Excellent food prepared freshly to order, so naturally takes longer than anything pre-made. Absolutely fantastic service, extremely friendly staff who can't do enough for you! Would highly recommend a visit to 8 July if you have the time!

We had a private, authentic cooking lesson by a very ambitious teacher who taught us many delicious recipes. The food is freshly prepared and everything is self made.

We had mango juice, garlic bread and pizza. Mango juice was refreshing but both garlic bread and pizza were average.

Heard about the place from TV show and it was quite waste of time and money. Prices are high and food taste was average.
