From the time you arrive, you are treated like valued customers from the concierge, reception and the escort to the restaurant. Very friendly and genuine staff, offering the correct measure of attention and discretion. The food was excellent and the service remained consistently high. Highly recommend this stunningly located restaurant and it's quality service. Definitely the best dining experience in... More

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 17 January 2017

We stayed at the Viceroy and ate here multiple times during our trip. The service was on par with the best fine dining restaurants, while maintaining the Balinese warmth you would expect in Ubud. The food is spectacular and the menu offers some Indonesian specialties and international favorites.

Day 1 breakfast our order was lost so we waited 45 minutes and they only brought food out as we complained. Breakfast day 2 was better, though staff burn (charcoal) the bacon and make it inedible. Staff friendly, however improvements in service would be appreciated by guests.

We wished we had gone to this restaurant during daylight as it is simply beautiful. It was lovely and romantic at night so sunset might be the best time. You walk to your table over stepping stones thru a brook. It was not possible to see below at night. The food was wonderful.

We stayed at the amazing Viceroy for four nights. Wasn't sure whether to fork out for dinner at the hotel restaurant as it's considerably more expensive than local alternatives which in the buzzing and cultured Ubud are plentiful but we treated ourselves on the final night and delighted that we did. The food is amazing, well worth the price and... More

Perfect for any occasion, whether it is a romantic dinner or family gathering, the restaurant provides an ideal setting for anyone and everyone. Considered to be one of the very best and recognizable European restaurants in Bali, the menu simply does not disappoint. With a Head chef that bring his expertise from working at various Michelin-starred restaurant such as ‘t... More

My wife and I came here to celebrate our honeymoon with a fancy dinner. Service was impeccable and the ambience was relaxed and comfortable. Each course was beautifully presented and the staff were knowledgeable on the ingredients. Pricey for Bali standards however quality is on par with what you'd get at a nice fine dining restaurant in Sydney.

We were staying at the Royal Pita Maha, which in my opinion has better views from the restaurant. However nothing can compare to the amazing food at the Cascades restaurant. For main meal my partner ate the salmon and I ate the fish of the day, which was a snapper. Both meals were absolutely delicious. The effort and the presentation... More

Wife and i visited at short notice, and so glad we did. Cannot fault this place. The view as you walk in past the pool sets the scene for the whole evening. The food was sensational. We are not talking about a low cost restaraunt here, so the servings are not huge, but I can put a fair bit of... More

We are staying at the hotel and on our first night had dinner in the restaurant. We went for the 6 course tasting menu which was fabulous. Each course was a work of art but importantly tasted delicious, worthy of a Michelin star. A must if your staying at the viceroy or nearby. Well done to Nic and his team.
