What a charming place in Ubud. The cafe was right outside the villa I stayed in, and after walking past it one night, it was definitely a place I wanted to try. Nicely decorated inside, open air cafe with high ceilings. Great place to watch the beautiful Ubud sunsets. You must take your shoes off when you enter, which gives it a homey feeling. I had a smoothie, soup, tea and noodles---the noodles were delicious. The pizza that I saw come out of the kitchen looked great as well. The fact that you can't reach the cafe by car, the scenery, quiet, relaxed atmosphere (and watching the beautiful sunset if you're there at that time) and good food makes this place a must in Ubud.

In the rice fields on the north side of Ubud you will find this café / restaurant. The location is great and the building itself is pretty cool.
It offers a mix of bites and drinks both international as local.
To be fair, it tried some pizza but this was not that good. I did love the dumplings and the cake for the dessert.
As a wine lover there's not much choice by the glass but bintang is there as always.
To me, it would definitely be more of a bar but please upgrade the wine list. Then I'll come back. Thanks.

As advertised - lovely view into ricefields, clean open space with good food and excellent staff/service. Will be back for the tacos that I saw go past. Broad menu for those that want the healthy or the local or get a fix of pizza/tacos.

We just stoppede to have to fresh juices in the late morning. The juices were good, the view so, so and waitress sour and arrogant. Seems a bit rich then that you're charged 6% extra in service tax... Never heard ofthat in Bali before.. On top of the usual 9% turist tax. Don't go there. It is basically just a round café in the middel of a construction site. And as said very sour and arrogant staff.

Lovely walk through the rice fields to get to this cafe, magnificent view, loved sitting on the bean bags. The cafe however is a whole other story. A lot of items on the menu not available. Server didn’t put through my order, only my husband’s. Long wait for quite ordinary squid. Don’t rush for the food but worth it for the surrounds and location.

Me and my husband found this restaurant while walking in the rice fields. We ordered tacos. We found the food nice even if a bit expensive if compared to other restaurants. But the best thing that we really enjoyed was the place and the great view on the rice field.

Visited in May 2022.
Stopped in for lunch, and got a margarita pizza.
Delicious. The view is also amazing.
My suggestion is to do the Kajeng walk through the rice patty fields, then stop off at the cafe on your way back.

We used to be frequent here, it was a great spot with relaxing atmosphere, great food and drinks. It was way better before, unfortunately it lost its spark.

It takes some effort to walk to this cafe in the rice fields. About 20 minutes from the Ubud Palace all slightly uphill.
The cafe decor is starting to feel a little rundown & needs some TLC.
We ate the Japanese Pork Cutlet, Indian Spiced Chicken, Pork Dumplings & the Tacos. All were good except the Tacos which we wouldn’t order again.
Service was fast for food & slow for drinks???
The smoothies were good although they tasted a touch sour because they use yoghurt in them. It would’ve been nicer to have Bintang’s that were ice cold.
Pricing was quite reasonable. They do have pay wave which is a bonus although at a cost of 2%.
The view is peaceful & very relaxing & that’s what you come here for.

Great views overlooking the rice fields. A basic menu so don’t expect incredible food but it is affordable.
They offer payment via credit card which was great as the restaurant was just a few metres away from our villas.
My shoes got stolen out the front, by another tourist (not the restaurants fault!) so keep in mine to wear cheap sandals when visiting. You must take shoes off at entrance to dine.
Kids loved patting the resident cat and dogs onsite.

Over an hour and half waiting for my order. Not even that busy. Don’t go here if you don’t want your precious holiday time wasted.

Had high expectations from a visit five years ago. Was most disappointed with the rundown condition of the property, the slowness out of the kitchen and the revised menu that had really few options other than Japanese cuisine.

The views are beautiful, especially for sunset, stunning! The atmosphere is nice and comfy and the staff lovely.
However we were all disappointed in our dishes, that lacked taste and flavor.
