We had been before for bar snacks and drinks, so were looking forward to dinner with friends. However, the appetisers were enormous and poorly presented (everything looked dark brown) so we were unable to order entrees. The waitress had no idea what she was recommending as specials, as she insisted they were small plates. We couldn't manage dessert so left... More

Really good spot located in the little village of Arroyo Seco which is in between Taos (North end on US 64) and the Taos Ski Valley ski resort right along the highway NM #150 with a big roadside sign you can't miss that even has that evenings live entertainment showing (if it is Jimmy Stadler be sure to stop). The... More

We have previously depended on Sabroso as a local favorite but stopped going when we noticed a decline in the kitchen after a change in the chef. As in all things in Tao change happens and chef's come and go. I am happy to report that the kitchen is back up to where it used to be. After a recent... More

This is one of Taos' top 5 restaurants, in my opinion, and I lave here. It has good ambiance and good food and located outside the charming village of Arroyo Seco. This is definitely worth your consideration for a romantic dinner.

We've eaten at Sabroso many times, and it's one of our favorite restaurants in the Taos area. Tonight we had a romantic dinner next to the huge fireplace in the dining room. We both had steak frites, cooked to perfection, with a delicious spicy chili sauce. It's a fine dining experience without a big price tag, and the service is... More

Sabroso was very rustic on the exterior but we were certainly glad we made the leap and went inside to discover a lovely patio and a dining room complete with white linen draped tables and the walls decorated with local art. The bar area featured an excellent pianist which we could hear and enjoy from the dining room. The attentive... More

Recommended by Corrine at Adobe Stars Bed N Breakfast. Their parking is limited. We went on a Sunday night when local entertainment was playing. The food was outstanding. My wife had Fish Tacos and I had the liver and onions entree. Service was good because we sat inside as there was NO tables available on the patio where live entertainment... More
