3 of us went to this little jewel of a restaurant for lunch Started with amazing quesadillas that we had spiced up....really tasty, and includes a delightful salad. Then we shared a plate of veggie burgers and a portion of quinoa..delicious and filling. Not to mention very reasonable. We also had several fantastic shakes...so many different ones, hard to choose...we... More

It was really fun serving you. I also like the veggieburgers and quesadillas! Did you know that we also serve vegan and glutenfree quesadillas, besides the whole wheat and cheese variety? And next time you come, the veggieburgers are available with hummus and pesto, as well as with the traditional ketchup and mustard. We look forward to serving you again! More

It was a real pleasure to stumble upon Tree of Life. Surprisingly good food, from quality ingredients, and the three women running the place are so nice. Living in Israel I can attest one doesn't meet this kind of place frequently. Hope to come back soon.

We didn't even know about the place, just passed it while walking the city. We decided to stop by for a quickie.. but turned out, it wasn't a quickie, because we got so tempted with the delicious aroma and impressive menu, that we ended up ordering several dishes. Cleaned up each and every one. The woman and waitress were friendly,... More

This small restaurant (3 outdoor tables seating 2-3 each) is in the center place of Safed. It is run by an American lady, so no language issues. The menu is limited but great for us vegetarians. Even a stir fry with rice could be had, or Quinoa. It is not at all the typical Israeli affair. Quesadilla was without cheese... More

We arrived there after reading all the review and expected some nice vegan/ vegetarian food. Well the food is super simple, my husband dish, the asian stir fry was tasting of soy sauce only and some of the veggies were still frozen, had to ask the waitress to warm it again. The pizza for my daughter was a joke. It... More

Two of us ate at ToL. Most all of the seating is outdoors in a square (kidar), surrounded by three fast-food establishments. Have no illusions, ToL is not a fast-food place even though it is not a fast-food restaurant. One young lady took our orders, prepared the food, took our cash and presumably washed the pile of dishes in the... More

Located on a square in the Artist's Quarter of the Old City, this little cafe was staffed by one hard-working young woman, who acted as waitress, cook and dishwasher. When there is more than one table filled (there were, when we ate there), service can be understandably slow. But the young woman didn't get harried. The food was quite good... More
