A few of us went here for the novelty of having non Korean food for a change, a range of burgers, fish and chips nachos etc. i had a Chicken Burger with Cajun sauce which was very nice. Played a few games of pool had a few beers (Korean, i don;t like Guinness) it was a Thursday night and we... More

We were staying at Lotte hotel, and got a taxi to Geckos for dinner, only 3,000 - 4,000won. having read the reviews I was abit worried. It was a Saturday night and we were the only people in it. The menu was quite good. There was three of us. I had the cajun burger and chips , which was lovely.... More

Billed as the only proper Western pub on the island, Gecko's will seldom be packed with customers... partly because of its off-beat location, and partly because it's a bit pricey, certainly for a backpacker's budget. Good fish'n'chips, though.

The restaurant was recomended by our travel agent so we drove 55 min to try it. First there are only four inside tables, second the they do not have kids menu, third the appetizer and main food was cold and not good and finally we paid $90 for 4 small dishes (2 cheeseburgers,1 quesadilla and 1 fried rice) and at... Gecko's Terrace in Seoul was known for pretty decent grub even amid the competition of the expat ghetto of Itaewon, so I expected at least as good or better at its Jeju island franchise. Sadly, I was disappointed with its Seogwipo sister despite the sour-puss waitress's boasting that "we serve a lot of foreigners here." Food was too salty, lacked... More

The bar is really nice, loved the style. Food was delicious and the service was the best. Waitresses were able to communicate in english very well and that was not very common in here. They were very friendly and careful.

Gecko's is one of the few western restaurants in Seogwipo. It's decent, but super greasy American style food plates. Not bad if you're craving greasy pub food, but an average dining experience all around. Beers are pricey, but there's a pool table for some fun times in an American style pub. Worth a visit if you're in the mood.

Upon entering, the restaurant was empty. There were 7 staff but one other couple in the restaurant. I was surprised to see this, considering it was a Saturday night. I was told that only the first floor was open, which was also irritating. However, I much prefer an empty Gecko's in Jeju rather than the overcrowded, loud and obnoxious Gecko's... More

Gecko's is on the South side of Jeju Island about a kilometre from the Jungmun tourism complex and perhaps 15km from the nearest big town- Seogwipo. The bar and restaurant are European pub style with an excellent menu to boot. However, the drinks prices are definitely on the high side and to get to Gecko's is a major drag because... More

nice place for a drink and fun with non-Korean atmosphere, billiard, darts, choice of American-style food, mind that it's closed on Mondays.
