Perfect location with first-class service!
The Loft Bar convinced us all along the line! The stylish furnishings and pleasant atmosphere make the visit a real experience. Of particular note is the attentive and friendly staff who take care of the guests with great commitment. Thanks to Naveen!
The selection of drinks, especially the cocktails, was also first-class. The location of the bar is ideal, and the view gives it a special touch.
Overall an all-round successful evening – we will definitely be back!

While it is the only bar on Bentota beach, it is also a great place to go for sundowners, lunch timers, night caps, the lot. The service is very attentive and FRIENDLY. Thilakarantne was always there in time to change your empty drink for a full one, he even came to check that our drinks were full before going on his dinner break. He was really friendly and came over to chat towards the end of the night.
Be sure to stop in and have an Avani Sunset, or bottle of Tiger when in Bentota.

Great place for a cool drink, small delicious snack at sunset or later. Prices are upscale, the atmosphere too and the view of s sea is also from high above. Just beautiful. Nice friendly service by Naveen. He takes care of his guests.

The location is great. The service and the selection of cocktails could be better. It was very humid in the evening. Unfortunately, the entrance to the beach was already closed and so we had to wander through the hotel complex alone to get to the main road.
There are much better bars in Bentota.

We were staying in a hotel close-by along the beach. Noticed this amazing bar while walking on the beach. Decided to hang out for couple of drinks. The view is beautiful, has clear view of sea and sunset. The cocktail menu is ok and worth a try. But this place is worth visit just to watch sunset. Its best to exit the place from reception, since its pretty dark and secluded to walk back from the beach.

We had wonderful service from Naveen who went out of his way to make our experience as good as possible. The sunset was wonderful and he accommodated our music choice which was appreciated enormously.

Don't expect to pay the prices on the menu - expect to pay taxes AND service charge on top of your bill. Our 5000 rupee bill came to 6400. We didn't want to pay the service charge and they called the local police!!! Wouldn't let us leave the place!!! Apparently service charge is NOT discetionary and taxes are NOT included in the price. This is the first place we've seen Sri Lanka do this. The thing is, you've already consumed the drinks!!! They're manipulative and tricking foreigners into paying more and more money. The manager informed us that they do this because taxes fluctuate.... So if they go up to 50% taxes, expect to pay it!!!!! Utterly misleading and greedy businessmen that clearly only care about money. Even the local Sri Lankan family of 5 walked out after hearing the debate between us and the manager - proves how utterly greedy these men are. They put so much ice in the drinks also, so don't expect a good night out in this place!!!

Very late review. A very unique spot in Sri Lanka to watch the sunset from the rooftop bar.. the place is so nice but unfortunately it was literally empty.. We were the only guest over there but we loved it so much and we will definitely visit it again if we pass by Bentota.
