The food is just fair, average portion and 'nothing to shout about'.. As said, if not for the view at the upper level of the building providing the vista of the old fortress and the sea.. you can give it a try and have your cold beer instead of a meal. the menu is more twit towards Chinese food the... The Rampart Restaurant offers a great array of food from chicken and fish, with slaw, and rice.. As usual dessert was ice cream and or fruit.

Had dinner here. Food was fair to average and not someplace that I would return to. Nice building and location but I'd search elsewhere for a dinning experience.

Drink prices are good, staff ok and restaurant a bit run down. But overall if you would like a drink whilst waiting for the sun to go down you can't find a better place. Beers, a big bottle of Lion for 400rp is a bargain for this location.

Another institution that continues to give a nod to the colonial age. The best selling point is its location just by the rampart. For most who come for a walk along the wall this place is strategically placed to stop off and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat on the top floor. The food is by no means... More

Quite a happening restaurant & a famous one too. Ordered the chicken chopsuey after confirming it to be with fried noodles, but it was more like stir fried noodles with sautéed vegetables in oyster sauce. It was decent in taste. The sweet & sour chicken was below average- more like deep fried chicken dumplings in orange sauce, with very less... More

This restaurant had a nice place to have lunch and the food was good. It was such a relief to sit here after a long walk in the fort on a hot Feb day.. This place had buffet but the variety was not very exciting so we opted for a-la-carte..

Rundown place with rude and unskilled waiter staff. Half the tables were "reserved" without really being reserved. Ordering an ice tea the waiter seemed to take it as some sort of personal insult. Went here for sunset views - but not coming back!

Sat out on the balcony overlooking the walls of the dutch fort and the sea. Friendly service. Reasonable food selection and our meals were tasty.

Not sure why so many are listing negative experiences. We had a great meal here. It was relaxing, with a lovely view of the ocean and an ocean breeze coming in. Our server was attentive and friendly, making napkin sculptures for my kids and the rest of the table. Food may have been a little slow coming out, but it... More
