Kung, our driver, took us there for lunch, good food and good prices and GREAT desserts. If you want a GREAT driver, hire Kung. 089-853-2627 or kungvan@hotmail.com. He is the BEST driver I have ever had in the 10 years living in Chiang Mai.

On the way back from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai, we stopped st this place for a quick lunch and toilet break. Glad we did. They offered simple dishes (saw 7 on the menu), price ranges 70-85baht, very good and the food was delicious. We...tried pork red curry, pork garlic and shrimp basil leaves. All of them tasted good. The pies were very very impressive. Toilet clean. Place cool and comfortable. Not convenient for those on wheel chair (not an issue for us but thought our TA users would appreciate this info). No Wi-Fi. Highly recommended.More

This place was recommended by a friend of the family, and we stopped by during our drive from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai for lunch. There are various local dishes on the menu, but the real treat was the pies and cakes that were sitting...pretty in the display shelf. Both the local dishes as well as the cakes and pies were delicious. We would recommend the cakes and pies.More

En route from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, nearly all limo or taxi drivers know of this resort with its wonderful bakery. The son runs the business side nowadays but MUM does all the baking and she is 87 years old. She lived and trained...in the USA for 20 years and her food is absolutely to die for. The home made apple pie is nearly 5cm thick and packed with fruit. The cheesecakes and chocolate tarts make you drool just looking at them. By the way, they also do other foods and the sweet and sour chicken was very good...but the desserts really put the icing on the cake. Prices are reasonable for what you get. the eatery is up high on the bank of the river, so very scenic.More
