I visited Cafe Mekong for lunch one day. I ordered fish and chips (280 baht) and it was extremely mediocre. The portion was small. Great vibe in the cafe, however the prices don't match the food that they serve.

I ordered Tom Kha Kai, It was to thick from heavy cream and It was not an authentic way to cook Thai food. Staff wasn't helpful, she couldn't explain what is in the food even she asked a cook. Disappointed

Really fresh, crisp spring rolls. Delicious! Also the group had Pho and curries. Service was smooth. An enjoyable lunch.

We have visited several times over the last 2-3 years and have always been impressed with the menu and quality of the food. The Vietnamese spring rolls and the chicken satay are excellent. The burrito (chicken) needs a good appetite and the salmon in teriyaki...More

The restaurant has good food and live music, but we were pretty much left on our own. No one greeted us and get our own menus, the waitress had to be flagged down as she never stopped by our table. Aside from cooking the meal,...More

Went out with family who live locally and know the Mekong well. They had chilli con carne, a firm favourite, we had Vietnamese summer rolls, minced pork in rice crepe and one other dish I can't name or describe well! All the food was excellent,...More

Beef pho broth tastes like it came out of a can or French onion soup packet. Noodles were pasta noodles instead of rice noodles and I didn't even try the beef bc it didn't look good. I can't speak for anything else bc that was...More

standard thai and vietnamese dishes (spring rolls, salads, noodle dishes, soups, etc.). unfancy and inexpensive, but tasty. pleasant atmosphere. (also very forgettable mexican and western dishes)
Very interesting! I am a Vietnamese living in California and am very impressed by what I see here. I certainly have to drop by your restaurant some day

This is an excellent restaurant, a bit beyond the beaten path but well worth seeking out. I later found out that Makong Cafe is one of a trio of equally excellent sister restaurants, including Frida and the flagship Coco51... More
