Ate here several times, particularly in the evening. The largest of the current restaurants on the beach (more accurately just behind the tree line), between the Angsana and Banyan Tree hotels. Wide ranging Thai menu with fresh fish and shellfish in live tanks. Tables amongst the trees in the sand under open skies and a smaller number under shelter if... More

Prime beach front location which had moved along the beach since last year. Was quite busy and popular with good staff levels which gave prompt and friendly service with some personality. Some tables brought their own wine and paid a corkage charge. Fish was very fresh indeed as you could have chosen your actual fish out if the tank but... More

Me, my wife and some relatives just had a seafood dinner at Tony's. The whole bill was 5,800 THB. Out of that the charged 2,800 THB (equal to almost 100 USD) for 2 ridiculously small (matchbox size) deep fried rock lobsters - or bugs as some people call them in Australia. They seriously told my face they cost 3,500 THB/kg... More

Back a year on and despite the rumours it had closed, it is still open. The food again was very good, fresh and as long as you specifically request thai style and not western you will get an excellent meal with great choices. Recommend the stir fried slipper lobster, tom yum goong, crab galee (curry), steamed sea bass in lime,... More

This was once a great restaurant, great food, great place to eat and great view that was family friendly. Not any more food was basically super over priced and really Bad (and served cold and served over oily ) it was way too spicy for the kids and way to much agro from staff. After waiting twenty minutes to make a... More

The location was. Enter when you could see the waves. But you can still hear them. The good was excellent and the service timely and attentive. For a beach location in the open air nothing to complain about and less expensive than a lot of places closer to Patong.

This restaurant used to have better location on the beach but they moved back quite a bit to give way to new development. They've been around for a long time and we decided to give it a try as many other good ones on the beach were gone. We ordered a few typical Thai dishes just to test it out... More

We had a snack and beers there yesterday. Place run down and cleanliness questionable. The service and staff friendliness not up to usual Thai standard. Very disappointing and I wonder why it scores so highly. There are much better places to go for special meals. Maybe the fact that it is one of the few places where you can escape... More

Great location pretty much on the beach. A 500m walk from our accom at Laguna. Service was OK and the food was good but not great. Prices are reasonably expensive for Thai food but way cheaper than what you will pay in your resort if staying around this area. I am pretty sure they offer transport to and from the... More

Yes, the location might be good but there are better locations along Bangtao/Layan Beach. Since Tony moved, the location is not as good as it used to be and there is a very unfriendly vibe since we were there last time (late 2015). The food is obviously catering for high season tourists but I wish they would make an effort... More
