rustic charm, fresh fish, terrific soup, great view, all the requirements for a fabulous lunch, this is a restaurant/fish farm where one feels good about the work done here and the food served here.

I heard about this place 2 years ago and finally got there today for dinner. It was not busy 4 other people at the picnic tables. Food was good, soup was awesome a little pricey. I myself like places like this very "Lets say rustic" is a good way to put it. It has a excellent location over looking Gardners... More

Excellent food at picnic tables overlooking a beautiful bay from inside a junkyard. I've done a fair amount of food traveling - I am a food professional - and have never come across a place quite like this. To call it the anti-Hamptons would be a major understatement. The place is a stone's throw (you need to have a good... More

Really off the beaten track, I did not even know that this place had a name. It is a fish farm with a pen full of White geese. The restaurant consists of wooden tables and benches near the coast. But it sells superb lobster roll at really reasonable prices. There is a kids menu. I wAnted to try other dishes... More

This was a very unexpected type of place to find in the Hamptons. The surroundings were rustic to the point of decrepit and the caged animals were also rather off putting. That said the food was quite tasty though still at the usual high Hamptons price level. The Sea Slug lounge was some picnic tables on the sand with an... More

The best view & fish tacos on the planet prepared by a French chef. They farm the fish & prepare it for take out or eat in on picnic tables. A working farm with geese, chickens, cats and dogs. Very casual & quirky. The hosts Marie & Bob are Marine Biologist who share this working farm for lunch, dinner or... More

It's the overall experience that makes this place so special. Situated on the grounds of a rusting fish farm in the most remote and isolated part of the Hamptons is a kitchen producing some of the freshest seafood on the coast. A lovely Frenchwoman will charm you with her stories while she serves you on paper plates, waterside just above... More

We recently ate here.. only to be shocked by the silly high prices on the menu. There was almost nothing on the minimal lunch menu for under $30... and you're eating on dirty tables with paper plates. It's a cool location.. and it's all very Un-Hampton...except for the prices.. $25 for a small soup.. $35 for a lobster roll.. not... More

Wonderful fresh fish and an atmosphere to go with it. Friendly vibes especially from Marie. Take a deep breath and enjoy the sea environment.

So I see that I'm an outlier here ... but I can't let myself be influenced by other people's love of this decrepit establishment. I will say that the food was good - a solid 3 stars for the lobster roll. But having to consume it next to the smell of all those poorly-kept animals made the experience unpleasant. In... More
