This is one of the few places in the old city that has a female singer playing alternatively tangos and Frank Sinatra very agreeably while you munch away typical Uruguayan dishes at very reasonable prices.

I love it . The food is delicious. Nice music. Very good wine. Located at a great spot near the church. We had the mexican chicken and the Chivito.

The restaurant did have a lot of choice but the waiter didn't try hard and the food was mixed. Also we were charged for the music which started after we arrived and I thought that was not justified.

Absolutely massive menu and open all day, the decor here is gloriously quirky and it feels like a very hip place. Live music sometimes so good ambience. Cooking all done on view and chef very helpful talking to me in English as I am coeliac. However they didn't really offer me any choice in what I had and my stir... More

Two of us shared 2 appetizers and a bowl of soup for dinner. The chicken soup hit the spot after a blustery windy walk. Then the garlic shrimp arrived and it was cooked perfectly. The fried calamari was quite doughy so we pealed the dough off. There was still a large quantity of it and it was cooked perfectly. We... More

We went to this restaurant because we had read several good reviews about it. It is located in the historic centre and has a nice and colourful atmosphere. The staff are very nice and the food is good, but there is nothing special about it. But the big surprise was the couple who play the guitar and sing beautifully.

We were famished after finding early breakfast options in Colonia to be at a minimum when our ferry from Buenos Aires arrived at 9:15am, so jumped on El Drugstore as soon as it opened for lunch. El Drugstore is all around a good place to stop if you're in Colonia del Sacramento. It is incredibly visually appealing with beautiful colors... More

My husband and I visit this place each time we are in Colonia. It is bohemian, eclectic and simply mind-blowing. It is the only restaurant we recall where the waiter discouraged us from ordering a certain soup by warning us it was not fresh. Highly recommended!
