My bacon baguette was literally a single piece of bacon in a plain baguette. What's the point.. won't chance them again

I adored this place, mainly because of the quality of the bread. I ordered a ham sandwich - nothing else (I was not very hungry). When it arrived, it was hot and very fresh. I loved its taste, and found it great. Everyone else said that their food was incredible as well, but please note that there are hardly any... More

Those who could eat bread enjoyed this restaurant but the menu is extremely limited for those who can't eat flour. The non-bread food also took a long time to arrive. No obvious wifi password.

Last time we were here the food was very good. As close as you could get to western food without being home. But not this time. Food was pretty bland no flavor. Some items were pulled off menu. The restaurant used to be know for hiring disabled help which was a plus because the help was so thankful but didn't... More

This use to be my go-to restaurant, as I did/do like the ambiance, music and general comfort of the place. This said, the food has taken a substantial drop in the past few months. Removing their specials that added good value was simply horrendous, as the food quality (mediocre) simply does not compensate for it. Also, serving pancakes without syrup... More

I guess you really do not know what's going at Bread of Life mon ami!!! : )) You should come one day if you never came before and then you can write a fair review.. OK now! The "new direction" you are talking about has become ... old direction! The new owner... More

The restaurant is no longer a charity. New owner and new employees work very hard at giving the best service. New owner still employs disabled employees, but can't hire as many as before. Owner and employees took time to talk to us and made us feel very welcome and happy to be there. This is a different place from the... More

I don't understand how this place has such good reviews. We just wanted big, average food before a flight but it was awful! Food.... 2/5 Egg and bacon bagel for 70k was ok, cheap uk cafe standard. Muesli was powdery and cheap and turned up dry - no milk or even a spoon! Had to find the server to ask... More

Dear aimsjm, I am Tam the manager. I served you myself. 1° I have a master degree and i really believe my english is fluent! 2° The food I served was very correct and nothing like what you describe in your review 3° You acted so unfriendly from the first minute you sat at the table that I took extra... Had a bah mi fish and bah mi original (pork); fish was ok, pork was average, not a lot of meat. Also had pork skewers, meat was dry, wouldn't recommend it. The tamarind juice was nice, friendly staff. Maybe an overrated place, so hoping it's for a good cause.

The food here was excellent and the staff were so accommodating, they even changed my order for me as it had mayo on it. It's all for a good cause too so worth a visit, especially if you're in this area of the world and are craving American pancakes (as most in Hoi An/Da Nang are more crepes than pancakes... More

Description
Bread of Life has been serving quality, fresh and authentic Western food since 2005 and belongs to Jean-Luc Briastre a Frenchman who loves Vietnam.
I bought Bread of Life Restaurant (BoL Restaurant) in 2015. My restaurant was founded by American missionaries to provide work to the hearing impaired and more recently, widowed mothers, and retired people with no pension.
Bread of Life Restaurant operates like any other restaurant; our income depends entirely on our business. We are proud that we produce quality meals and service while also providing employment to persons who normally would not be considered employable.
We thank you so much for helping us to continue to offer employment to our special population and employees, as well as convivial meeting place for Western ex-pats Vietnam.
