Lucky twice to get a table for lunch. Think there are about 6 plus 12 or so counter seats. Very fresh sushi, especially the hand roll with bass. Cheap for the quality.

Sushi Reki Reki is the second line of the renowned ‘Nakagawa’ in Higashijyaha district, which has one Michelin star. Michelin or not, most sushi in Kazanawa is absolutely excellent, but today our family (with 2 teenagers) wanted to try a different sushi shop. We try...to visit a different sushi shop every summer we come back to Kanazawa. Since there was a long line at Maimon Sushi, we decided to give Rekireki a try. Oh, how glad we did. The place is pretty small, but luckily we were seated immediately at the counter and welcomed by the chef’s friendly greetings. My husband and my son ordered the 10 piece set (3500 yen) and my daughter and I ordered the 8 piece set (2500 yen). They make ‘Edomae sushi’ (Edo is the old name for Tokyo) which means you don’t dip your sushi piece into soy sauce before you eat them. Each piece came out perfectly seasoned. Every piece we put into our mouth was heavenly. We have eaten many sushi in the past but something about this sushi was new and refreshing. The chef seemed truly enjoy what he did. He casually conversed with us, and the customer next to us, about the names of shrimp and where the naming came from (in Japanese). The sushi is on the smaller side, but after we finished our wonderful lunch we were a full and very happy family. I highly recommend Sushi Reki Reki.More
If you happen to be in Kanazawa, you definitively need to go to this restaurant. The sushis were the best ones we have ever had. The very talented chef chose the fishes for us and their freshness was unbelievable. He then prepared each sushi especially...according to the fish: some were broiled, some were served with just the perfect amount of salt or just with soya sauce. On top of the outstanding food, the chef and the rest of the staff were more than welcoming, we had a great evening in a warm atmosphere. We had 13 pieces and with drinks it was about 6500yen per person. Also, if possible try to sit at the counter it's really worth it. And it has a really convenient location (in Kanazawa's beautiful train station).More
Wow the 1st English review here. Recommended by the hotel concierge and in the train station next to my hotel. Actually after browsing the food area in the train station, here are so many good options We had the sushi counter seating, which is what...I like. The dinner menu is very simple, sushi courses for 2,000 and 3,000 yen, and omakase for 6,000. We went for the omakase. The first few starters were very good - tuna with avocado, beancurd skin, sashimi etc. Then a procession of 10 sushi pieces, all quite delicious. Finished with a hand roll and miso soup Overall goodMore
