Visited with my family. It’s family friendly, our toddler and baby can crawl around the dinner area (we were seated in a corner of the tatami). The chicken wings are yummy. Prices are reasonable.

"Otaru" is mainly well known for fresh produce from the sea. However, there is a place specialized for fried chicken since 1957, named Wakadori Jidai Naruto. We reached after lunch time however, we still had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get a table as...the restaurant was full. Fried chicken was simply tender and juicy, and covered with crispy skin. The portion gave us a big impact when the dish arrived. It was a memorable time to enjoy something not coming from the sea although the area is recognized due to seafood. Take a queue ticket from ticket machine and wait for number to be called. The restaurant has two stories and we were given level two. The star of the restaurant is its fried spring chicken. It did not disappoint - juicy and crispy.

After all those fresh fish and ramen, maybe this can give you a special taste. The chicken is salted taste and fried to perfection, juicy but oily too, if you don't mind. The chicken is the main attraction here.
