Local people said a soul food in Miyazaki. The restaurant is found at around 50 years ago. The building is quite old but it's a very clean. Menu is only chicken or pork. Chicken is main. All are very tasty.

I've always wanted to come here. My top two for my Miyazaki Visit was the Phoenix Golf Club and Ogura Honten. It was good food, and I would eat it again. But I don't know that I would pay $50 in taxi fares to do it again from the Sheraton I was staying at. Meaning it wasn't a "destination restaurant"... More

Before coming to Miyazaki, I had always heard about it was famous for chicken nanban. I already had been eating it while living in Tokyo, so I thought I was in for a real treat. I ordered it . Visually, it looked fantastic and promising. However, I guess I was expecting too much, because I thought the flavor was lackluster.... More

Chicken quality was great. It looks like fried and dipped in light japanese soy sauce. The taste is good from good quality meat and light soy sauce. This is something worth to try if you haven't but it's not in my repeat list to go back.

It is located in an alley, not easy to find. Walking distance to the JR station. Had to wait in line for about 15 min. Worth the wait. The chicken had kind of a sweet BBQ flavor, tender and went really well with their own special tartar sauce.

The restaurant is very popular so you might have to wait. For 1,010 yen you get the cities signature dish. I think people from all over Japan eat there when visiting, but so too do locals. I will try again if I ever get back to Miyazaki.

It's sweet and sour and quite refreshing. Comes with a creamy sweet and sour sauce and rice and also a shredded cabbage salad which is light and refreshing as well. This would be good in the summer. And kids would like it too.

This place is famous for inventing Chicken original food.Namban, that became Miyazaki's number 1 food. It tastes like sweet and sour chicken but it is better. The chicken is juicy and soft but the outside is crisp. It has original gravy on the top and the gravy is like a tartar source. You must try this dish when you visit... More
