We order some of their recommended dishes, but it does not as tasty as we are expecting. Otak-otak - no banana leave, superb dried Pork rib - no rib at all, all served with breast meat. Superb tough to bite San Low mee hoon -...the dried layer is not dried enough. Can be better if cook slighly longer. Deep fried baby squid - taste good when it is still hot. But become chewy when it cold. Food:2/5 Service:5/5 Clean:5/5More

Had a seafood dinner for 4 persons. We ordered crayfish, clams, stir fried vegetable, braised tofu and their signature fried beehoon. pros: food and service was ok, their signature fried beehoon did not disappoint. cons: total bill came up to close to RM200 which we...felt was pricey for only 4 persons. there is also no parking spaces beside the restaurant.More

Great food! Frequented by both locals Malaysians as well as Singaporeans from across the causeway, this place definitely didn’t disappoint! Place was packed on a Friday night. Honest pricing and really amazing taste. Trust the waiter with her recommendations (though I do wish she had...a smile serving customers but all the waiters were super busy) and you’d be eating the top favourites. Perhaps they can reconsider wrapping the table top with one-time-use plastic though. Really a waste and environmentally unfriendly!More

Friend recommended this restaurant so we tried it during our short stay in JB in December. Took a grab there and the driver was telling us that the restaurant is a popular haunt for Singaporeans and is usually very crowded. For the first visit, we...were there at about 9+pm. No one received us when we arrived and we signaled for some attention before looking for an empty table to sit. At that hours, the place was still relatively crowded. A very pleasant serving staff attended to us and took our orders. Pity they do not have lobster. We ordered the salt pepper crayfish (without the shell) and it was too saltish. The sambal kangkong was lovely. Their famous beehoon was crisp and yummy. Don't recommend the chai poh steamfish as it doesn't taste as good. Pity they don't have soon hock or garouper. oatmeal prawns was not bad too. The food arrived quite fast which was good as we were famished. We visit the same restaurant again the next night. This time we had the cuttlefish (not fantastic) and the otak (not bad). We ordered the kangkong again but it tasted different, less spicy and pasty. Didn't order much this round as the staff was very rude. We signaled this staff to take our orders when we arrived and she yelled across from the counter "What do you want" in mandarin, with a very irritated face. Then she collected herself and approached us but was very impatient with the orders . It was an unpleasant experience and we won't return to this restaurant again. Food quality is on the rough side and I think they are over-rated.More

Decided to try San Low on a weekday after hearing alot of good reviews. Went there for late dinner at about 8 pm, thinking that dinner crowd would have been more manageable. The place is still crowded but we got a table upon arrival. Not...too bad. We waited more than an hour for our food. The fried squid was delicious and so was the otah. However, the famous fried bee hoon, for which we had high expectation, tasted very normal. It is pricey for the amount and for not having much veg or seafood in it. The stir fried kai lan was so hard that we could hardly eat. For the same price, I can get a better veg dish at other Chinese restaurant. May be the crabs and other dishes we didn’t order are nice but I’ll not be returning anytime soon.More

Near City Square Mall. RM$6 Grab from City Square to San Low Seafood Restaurant. Salted egg crab (RM$100) is good. Black soya sauce prawn is nice also. 4 stars because price is more expensive than other seafood restaurants, and quite slow in serving.

Ordered pepper crab, salted egg crab, sweet potato vegetable and fried beehoon (signature dish). The sweet potato vegetable and beehoon were the worst. Crabs were small and we were charged at an exorbitant price - total RM270. Cutleries were dirty (anyhow wash) got chilli sauce...on all cutleries...service was shiat. Please bring your money somewhere else. Goodness.More
