If you want to try Curry mee in Ipoh, look no further than this. Being a local, my friends has been raving to me about this eateries. Compared to another famous curry mee restaurant chain in Ipoh, this father son restaurant is more genuine in...serving their curry. It is full of flavour. With RM7.5 , the price is good too. It come in dry and wet format. Both are good. They give good portion of chicken too. The only downside, a bit oily, not a healthy food option. But for once in a while indulgence, why not?More

The shop might not be noticeable as it is by the roundabout. Famous among the locals especially the dry curry noodle and herbal tea with egg. If you are tired of eating dim sum, white coffee, pastries, make a trip to the restaurant and have...some delicious curry mee! Parking might be a problem as there isnt much parking spaces near the shop. Not muslim friendlyMore

Local friends talked about this place during a dinner. So, decided to come here for breakfast. When arrived here, the place is very packed with people. This shop only sells curry noodles, wet and dry type. The shop is very nostalgic, as the general outlook...is still in the 1950s-1970s. Managed to find a couple of available seats, but need to share table with other people. Ordered wet and dry type of curry noodles. The food is okay, but not as good. Even local friends who has eaten in this place a long time ago, said it is not as good as before. Other places do taste better. However, comparing both their wet and dry type of curry noodles, the dry type is much better. This place is located at a roundabout. Therefore, it is not easy to find available parking. Available parking would be a distance to walk.More

Eating curry mee early morning in a very popular place did not appea to me. I was thinking of a goan or indian curry. The curry mee is a popular dish and is pretty good, just looks like a curry but tastes very different with...noodles. The place is crowded and like all chinese places hygenie is basicMore

Firstly, their dry curry noodles smelled awesome. You could smell it from the adjacent table. I quite liked the idea of having thick curry gravy grazing the noodles instead of the usual noodles drowning in a bowl of soup. It was not spicy, I felt...the flavour could be stronger. The chicken pieces were mostly from the breasts and were a bit dry. I would not say it was amazing, but it was definitely nice to eat. They also had 'koay teow' soup and 'yong tau fu'. These were pretty decent as well. Tried the egg tea. It was served at room temperature. I expected it to taste like 茶叶蛋 (Chinese Tea egg), but it did not. It was more like 'Leng Teh', so it was more sweet than savoury. Very very odd to have an egg in a sweet drink. I did not manage to finish the egg because it was so weird! The place could be quite cramped when full house and in the mornings, the sun pierces right through the blinds. It could be a problem if you happen to sit facing the sun. However, it is a decent place for breakfast if you fancy some spice in the morning!More

Yee Fatt has been around for around 60 years in Ipoh. My grandmother introduced me to this place when I was child. It's renowned for the dry curry noodles, where the sauce is thick and aromatic. This is what my family and I always have...here. The herbal tea with egg is also one of Yee Fatt's signature items. Be prepared to wait during the weekends.More

Been hearing from a lot of friends about this delicious curry noodle & finally decided to give this a try. Went on Sunday & the place was packed. However being 2 of us we managed to join someone’s table. Order was taken very quickly &...we didn’t have to wait very long for our food despite the crowd. The curry chicken was very delicious & curry soup was thick enough to go with the noodles .., yum. An old gentleman prepares the noodles while his son manages the curry .... good teamwork! Price was reasonable too ! After the curry, recommend to go a few shops away for coffee & cakes .... nice cozy place to cool down after the spices !!More

This is one of the best curry noodle in Ipoh, which comes in either dry of soupy. This coffee shop has been operating since, at least, 40 years ago and they still serve the same curry noodle. This place is frequent by locals and it's...always pack on weekends. Be here early to avoid long queue, however, the turnover is pretty fast. Other then curry noodle they also serve Chee Cheong fun, lor mai Keai. The coffee is very ordinary.More
