Salivating Now - good food doesn't need to brag...
The one in Ipoh is the original. Nothing fancy but M'sians loves it just like that. A New branch is found in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya. That means if you come to Kuala Lumpur & no time to travel 3hrs north, you can drop by this to have a hokkien noodle fix. Slightly pricy but worth it.

We ordered two dishes, one is the moonlight hor fun while the other is fish noodle with egg gravy. The fish noodle with egg gravy is really good. The noodles are made from fish and the gravy has a super strong egg taste, which is quite nice. The moonlight hor fun is good but not amazing.

This is a very popular restaurent, which is air conditioned. Very highly recommended, we placed our food orders in advance, came and were not disappointed. We ordered a variety of dishes for our group of 14 persons. The vegetables were fresh and well prepared, retaining their natural sweetness. Kailan with Yam was most interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed their tofu with mushrooms. Their seafood Hor fun was amazing! So was their freshwater prawns noodles- the noodles were so tasty, the entire serving was finished in no time! Their fried prawns were over cooked that evening.
Will most certainly return to try their many other dishes.

We went there during school holiday which was a weekday. It was so crowded but we been serve in 40min time.
The food was disappointing, we order fried meehoon, hokkien mee , wan tan hor , baby squid and the chicken feet. Besides the chicken feet was nice, the friend meehoon was bit bitter due to too many thick soya sauce, the hokkien mee was without any "wok hei" which was plain...maybe was due to too many people line up, end up their dishes was not up to my expectation.
Advise not to go during weekend or Public holiday, you might feel disappointing as well.

This is a locally renowned noodle joint at Ipoh's de facto gourmet row. Ipoh Tuck Kee serves no-frills fried noodles and others. Octopus is mild and fresh. Fried rice noodles with egg, or Yu Kong Hor, is tasty and smooth. Fried short rice noodles is equally savory and aromatic. Price is very modest and portion generous. Do give a try when in the area this will be a great alternative to tauge ayam, or bean sprout chicken.

Heard so much about this restaurant so we finally came for early dinner. We came about 6pm and seats were available. Ordered the Cantonese Fried Hor Fun with egg, fried Hokkien noodles, baby octopus, cuttlefish meat ball. Hor Fun with egg + baby octopus + cuttlefish ball were good. Hokkien noodles was just average.
Service was normal, not the friendliest.

This Ipoh institution is no secret, always bustling with hungry people and a queue to match. But trust me, it's worth the wait! The food is both delicious and cheaps (a winning combo!), and the service is top-notch.
We dove into the iconic fried kuey teow with a raw egg, and it was pure magic – perfectly cooked noodles, smoky flavor, and that gooey yolk adding richness. And of course, the star of the show – the baby octopus! Tender, flavorful, and so addictive, we were reaching for more even before the last bite.
Even during peak hours, the cooking time was surprisingly fast. They've got this crowd-handling thing down to a science! No wonder it's one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Ipoh.
So, if you're looking for a delicious and efficient Ipoh experience, this restaurant is a must-try. Just be sure to bring your appetite and maybe a little patience for the queue. It's totally worth it!

Fantastic noodles. Wah Tan Hor is a must try. The fish noodles are also very good. The octopus dish is a must-have. We ordered 5 octopus dishes for 4 people because we loved it so much. Be prepared to queue for up to half an hour as it is packed. Good thing is that you can already place your order before being seated so food will be served pretty quickly. Environment in the restaurant is clean, self service on the chili paste which was also great. Be vigilant on where you are queueing, though. One worker at the restaurant 2 doors away wasn’t so friendly when the queue cut in front of theirs (understandable) but when the worker started throwing abusive words, that was that.

The food is good and reasonable price. The wa tan fish noodle is special. We love it with lard but we tasted the lard is the drawback of the yummy dish. The squids in soy sauce is fresh and crunchy. Environment is cool but cleanliness can be improved.

A great place to enjoy local cuisine. The fried noodles were great and definitely worth trying when you ever visit Ipoh. The restaurant has a very local feel despite occasionally seeing fellow tourists like yourself.

I saw two Tuck Kee restaurant here, another is New Tuck Kee. This Tuck Kee was crowded. So decided to take away : Kwong Foo Yin Yeong and Hokkien mihun. I waited for 40min. The time i order was 5.18pm. By the time my order ready was 6pm. So you can imagine how good is their business, somemore it is Friday. The Kwong Fop Yin Yeong is the best. Hokkien Mihun also not bad. Reasonable price RM10 and RM7.50.

Food were pretty oily. We ordered wanton hor, moonlight noodle, fried mee and chicken wing. There were not much ingredient with just kway teow and noodle. Plain carbo 🤣😂. We could not bring ourselves to finish the food and there were much leftover.

Food is nice & affordable. Gets quite busy at night. Conveniently located at the entrance to the night market. Must order is the Yu Kong Hor, and chicken wings (but a little salty)..

We had seen this place featured on some YouTube videos so decided to check it out.
It wasn't too busy when we visited in late afternoon so we could get a seat easily. You mark your orders on a list which staff will take off you. There is free chilli (belachan) & cut green chillies on the side which you can help yourself to.
Bought two types of noodles - the black kuay teow with a raw egg & a hor fun dish with an egg gravy. Also got the baby octopus, some braised bean curd & egg, as well as bean sprouts.
We enjoyed all the food there esp the black kuay teow which had a really nice flavour & just the right amount of a lardy taste. The pork crackling wasn't as crisp as we were expecting though. The other hor fun tasted a bit too porky. The hor fun texture for both dishes was super silky & smooth!
Braised eggs & tofu were nice but unremarkable. The octopus was cooked well & had just the tight texture, crunch & chewiness. The beansprouts were a good accompaniment to what we ordered.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Tuck Kee which gave us the hor fun fix we wanted. We can see why it's so popular. Defo recommended if you are in Ipoh!
