First time having steamboat using CHARCOAL instead of the usual electric/gas ones. Ingredients may seem simple as it is but I'm now missing the taste of fish head soup base. Don't think there is MSG in it as my family don't feel thirsty after finishing it. With both of my fussy elderly eaters, they are giving a thumbs up for... More

Fresh ingredients with variety of foods served for a steamboat set while u can choose in which several different prices. I recommend to add a bit chopped chilli with oil garlic in soy sauce for dipping. Service is good and We feel comfortable to dine here with... More

As many have mentioned, this old style steamboat is tasty. Just wanna add that, unlike many other steamboats, I don't feel thirsty after taking their soup. This probably means they put little or no MSG in the soup. This is obviously a good thing. They only serve steamboat for dinner. So I was a little disappointed (since I saw some... More

Stopped for dinner at Goh Huat Seng. The clear chicken soup broth used for our steamboat has strong hints of bone and marrow, simmered over many hours over a charcoal fire. Rich, complex, flavourful. We had a very fulfilling dinner this evening. I can't stop drinking the broth until it's all gone. 够味!

I always believe charcoal makes the food flavorful. This place uses charcoal to heat up the steamboat. And don't worry, small copper chimney is provided to cover you from smoke and occasional spark. The orders are simple, just counted by number of plates you've taken. The plate usually have ingredients like prawns, fish ball, slices of pork, and mushroom.

We ordered vegetable, fried chilli pork, thai sauce chicken and homemade tofu. Nice lunch. Tofu and vegetable were tasty. Enjoyed the thai sauce chicken. However found the chili pork a tat too salty and oily in seasoning. The soya bean drink is refreshing. Overall i would say it is well cooked.

Brilliant way of enjoying the whole eating experience by cooking it all yourself in a charcoal steamboat on the table! Good food and good fun! They offer a set menu with a stock that brews as you cook your selection of meats from squid to liver to chicken, and dim sung and other tasty traditional Asian treats. Once you have... More
