A hidden gem in the heritage trail in Penang, near Armenian street, Tek Sen serves the best fried roast pork (siew yoke) - fried to perfection, crispy on the head, slightly spicy with chili padi, caramelised coated on the meat. The bitter gourd fried with egg was smooth and gooey, and absolutely delicious. Another all time favourite - Asam Prawns,... More

This place is a must try. Chinese food at its very best. All the vegetable dishes look fantastic! There is guide to the house favourites, we went with sweet and sour chicken green beans, ribs, prawns dry. Went back again for light lunch on Sunday, it's busy all the time. Full of local Chinese family's, if your looking for a... More

Good food, esp the double roasted pork with the cili padi :) Able to accommodate children and elderly. Allows table reservation.

This place is always packed out. You may have to wait a short while for a table but they do their best to accommodate you while you wait. Nice Chinese food: slightly higher in price but worth it for a visit

Tek Sen occupies two small shop lots with open frontage but is air-conditioned, and looks like it’s been renovated not too long ago. The three of us had sambal potato leaves, fried salt and pepper squid, and two of their signature dishes, fried roast pork and beancurd with seafood. The waitress who took our order was not too helpful and... More

Very popular with both locals and tourists. Recommend the red snapper cooked in assam sauce and minced steamed pork. Good value and great food.

Located not far away from the famous Armenian Street. We had our Sunday lunch here. Many customers, seats were full, luckily services are faster than we thought might be. Foods are very nice, veggies are fresh, asam fish, belacan chickens are highly recommended. Prices are also reasonable.
