We walked to this food centre about 7pm on Sat and most of the table are occupied. We tried a few dishes from different store and they all taste good. The Penang fried Kway Teow with duck egg, oyster egg, grill sole, grill squid, and briyani rice. They are cheap & nice. Most impressive is the Claypot briyani rice!! If... More

This place is a great place for tasting the entire range of local fare. As far as the tastes go, seems pretty authentic and delicious. We had a good selection from the traditional duck egg char koay two to Penang asam laksa with a sprinkling of grilled belachan fish, prawn noodles, mini sea clams (seeham) an assortment of fish balls and... Don't belive everything that you read here in these reviews. I would recommend that you go there and make your own opinion. Deffinetly worth a visit. Here are my thoughts: We were here a year a go and wanted of course to go there to eat again. We spent here in penang little bit over 5 weeks and ate in... More

I went here often since we were staying at the hotel right next to this food court. It has a live music and good foods. But our favorite was the roasted duck. It's very nice and tender and the it's not pricey. The uncle is friendly and nice. The rest food stall was just ok.

Wasn't sure when we first went there, but you get great food, from all over Asia, cold beer and its cheap. Vendors are so trusting and service staff friendly and fun Safe for all families and older people You have to try!!!

Here's how you do it: find a table and order a drink from a waiter. The go order some food from a couple of the excellent choices of booths. Go back to your table and wait for your dishes to arrive. Everything was good, but the setting was sort of overwhelming relative to the smaller ones around town (like the... More

Red Garden is in the centre of Georgetown. It is a big, undercover hawker centre with a stage in the middle. There are many stalls to choose a huge variety of food from....some are very good and others not so good.....you do need to look around to find your favourites. There is live music nightly which is not too loud... More

There is a wide food choice but not many vegetarian options. The food is not that great to be honest and quite overpriced - I was told that this place caters for the tourists and locals simply don't go there.

Red Garden is where it's at. Essentially a huge food court with evening entertainment. Pick a table, go up to the vendor(s) of choice and they bring food to you and pay upon receipt. Allows you to try many items and everything was delicious! The cleaning staff were very kind and attentive so we never ate with clutter around.

We went to check it out and made the mistake of ordering food from Ali Baba. This was the worst food we have ever eaten. The two guys running did not stop smoking once throughout the preparation. They had a bad attitude and where totally unhelpful. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Good things were the live music and a lady (number 7)... More
