Hameediyah is one of the great restaurants to get your Biryani fix in Penang. Although long queue is the norm here, the service is fast. Among the should-try includes Ayam ros, chicken biryani, fish head curry and beef murtabak. The place is normally full especially during the weekends but worry not, as there will always be a table for you... More

Our meal here was incredible, and the service fantastic! We first got attracted to the bright yellow and green paint of the walls and when the friendly staff called us in to have a look we were mesmerized! The food was very authentic and I wish we had more days in Penang to eat there again!

Incredible food! Visited on a Monday evening at 8pm and the owner (we assume) helped us order from the extensive menu and led us to their dining room which is a shop or two down the street. Our chicken and lamb curries were both excellent. Being the greedy people my boyfriend and I are, we also decided to order the... More

This was the best Indian I had during my entire stay in Georgetown. The staff is super friendly and help you decide between all the amazing dishes they offer. Historically important place that's been around for over a century. Love it!!!

Very long queue when you want to order however the food is not that worth to the queue. The staffs are slow and blur. We asking drinks menu (drinks you can order when you are... More

Yes I saw this program broadcast in UK recently, the food look delicious. But I noticed the chinese man that with Rick Stein, telling Rick to eat with his bare hands; I would advise him to cut of his long finger nails on his last fingers, not representable if you're involved in food business.

I had the chicken pajanani, which was simply divine! Very tasty indeed, and the naan was good as well. I also had a mangolassi that was more like a shake than lassi sadly. Service was at times quite chaotic and somewhat disturbing, though very friendly at times. Atmosphere is okay, and prices quite cheap.

We had dinner during week night, after an afternoon on Batu Ferringhi /Teluk Bahang beach so everything was extra delicious. No parking problem too!

No queue. We went around 9:45 pm, they were about to close at 10:30. They started cleaning up, putting the chairs up, but they still let us finish our food, allow us to order garlic naan bread and drinks. We paid RM45 for 3 persons. Food is good and we recommend eating here.
