This used to be our favourite seafood restaurant with great varieties of seafood and reasonable pricing. This recent visit was a huge disappointment. There were limited choices and the prices have skyrocketed. Could be caused by demand by tourists. We spent an average of Rm2500 per table over 2 nights. We had live fish, lobsters, sea cucumber, scallops, prawns and... More

Heard that seafood prices were really reasonable in Sabah, so we decided to eat here. They had frozen fish and fish from their aquarium section. The frozen fish section costs 3 times more than in The Peninsular! let's not talk about the ones in the tank! A simple steamed fish took 45 minutes and arrived after we had finished eating... More

Kota Kinabalu City in Sabah is a bustling lively and multicultural state capital in East Malaysia that boasts several great restaurants. Port View is one of the best with a superb view overlooking a working port and is particularly romantic at sunset when the Borneo sun dips under the horizon unfailingly at around 6.45 p.m. every day. Yet the main... More

We were recommended this by our hotel. We were choosing our meal but the waitress suggested a combination this was horrible,so we went back to our original choices and they were excellent.check out portion sizes when you order they are huge. Very reasonable prices. Amazing sea food tanks to choose fresh fish from.

Have it your way. Seafood selection is ok, variety of cooking, usually recommended by the staff. Beers or wines are available too. Indoor and outdoor sitting available. A good place to have dinner and then move to other pubs along the same stretch.

We ate here at least three times during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed each meal. The restaurant appears to be much more authentic than the others on the strip and the majority of customers appear to be Asian rather than tourists-always a good sign as far as we are concerned. You can eat outside with views over the port-sometimes a... More

Went here for dinner after exploring KK city on foot. It is your typical Chinese family restaurant. Food serving is good, just right for a group of 5. Price though is quite on the high side. The restaurant offers a choice of using frozen seafood or fresh for your dishes, of course the fresh ones commanding much higher prices. We... More

We dined here on three separate occasions during our two week stay and always received excellent service and delicious food. If it is authentic tasty food you are after without the European tourist frills and high prices, then this place is really worth a visit.

Port view restaurant is amazing and worth a visit on any trip to Kota Kinabalu. The seafood is so fresh it is kept alive in tanks. This Chinese restaurant has to be one of the best. Food so fresh, delicious and incredibly cheap would recommend it to anyone going to the waterfront just brilliant.
