The cashier looked down on me as I am a solo female dressed in casual clothes. When I ordered a panini and wanted to pay using my debit card, she rudely told me that the cafe does not accept debit or credit cards as payment for meals...below RM 50.Deciding not to confront her,I paid in cash instead. She noticeably treats the other customers differently, perhaps because they are attractive white dudes in their twenties. Very unprofessional and condescending, won't go here again.More

This place does have its own charm and is a funky set up. However the service was not great, waited ages to be served as one girl on and she was cooking breakfast for 3 other patrons but never even acknowledge us or said Ill...be with you in a minute. Once served it took ages to get the coffee as she finished making the breakfast's first instead of getting coffee started and doing both. Coffee was not cheap for Borneo standards and worked out as dear is not dearer than at home in NZ.More

Had a really nice lunch here as we escaped from the rain. Very reasonably priced and tasty., scrambled egg on toast which we wolfed down.

The Museum Shop and Cafe is located on the Main Bazaar, is very interesting and worth a close look. The shop is packed with all sorts of local "mysterious" artefacts for sale. Coffee, tea and light meals are available. Highly recommended !

The Museum Cafe & Shop is a delightful little oasis just off the riverfront (and almost directly across the street from the Chinese History Museum). The shop portion features art, jewelry, books and craft by local artists. The cozy cafe serves coffee and tea drinks,...wine and beer, and light bites. I loved the warm, artsy, slightly funky, slight crafty, slight chic interior.More

Read high rating for this cafe, but its a disappointment. I had no luck as the coffee machine was broken. The hot tea was served with not-very-hot thus making the tea not aromatic at all. The panini sandwich which received high recommendation was also just...average. No salad or greens at all in the sandwich. A slice of lettuce will be good.More

Let me start by saying I'm a very picky coffee drinker. I have an Italian espresso machine at home, grind the beans immediately before making a cup. And if I can't get good coffee I don't drink any coffee. I drank cappuccino here twice a...day for the time I was in Kuching and would head straight back there next time I visit. Need I say more. RM9, very reasonably priced too compared to the overpriced chains. Quaint setting too.More

The museum is a nice place to have a drink and fast snack. The interior is very nice and clean and got a great feeling. The prices are a little above average but you will get a good bite and some great coffee.

Nice atmosphere to have some European style breakfast and/or a coffee. Interesting set up to combine a shop and a restaurant.

This cafe is worth a visit, but just for its nice drinks and good breakfasts but because it houses the paintings of one of Sarawak's most famous artists Ramsey Ong. His paintings are a contemplative, arresting record of Sarawak, its people and the wild beauty...of its forests and beast. Go and look at the lovely horn bills, portraits of local tribes as well as his interpretation of small pleasures of life such as Little Fry (pictured)More

The Museum Cafe & Shop @ The Main Bazaar, Kuching, epitomises the most charming, cosiest, coolest haven run by the most excellent Sarawakians. Especially QALL whose top-notch attitude, easy approachability and great empathy, we very much appreciate. The soul-quenching ice-blendeds are out-of-this-world. The droolworthy paninis,...sandwiches, croissants, scrambled eggs are absolutely yummylicious. We are back again and again for more and more soul-pampering. Marvellous! Cheers! This is great for coffee and a range of teas. Air conditioning and toilets make it a pleasant spot to call in on when exploring the main bazaar area. There is an interesting range of books, postcards and other local crafts and the opportunity to...use wifi whist sipping coffee, tea or a cool beer. Staff are friendly and helpful.More
