.........prepare for the sweet sounds of Adele, whose voice I could hear in the background! A very moreish fish soup and friendly service. There weren't many people there when I visited; perhaps they were put off by the prices which are a bit higher than elsewhere but the atmosphere is classy. If you can't survive without a beer, El Minzah... More

The restaurant is charming and situated at the Medina entrance. The food is good, but the service is a bit slow.

We walked in off the street, the restaurant was very quiet, but it should not have been. The service and the food were both exceptional, and the walls offer some amazing Moroccan and local art, all buyable at very good prices. I cannot even remember what we had that night, but I took the card it was that impressive. I... More

We had a very enjoyable dinner at El Minzah. The food was excellent. We almost went back again but with so many great restaurants in Essaouira we went elsewhere. The staff was friendly but the service was slow. This wouldn't normally bother me but it was an early dinner and there were only a few couples dining.

Generally we avoid restaurants in the hotel we are staying. During the week we stayed at the Minzah we had dinner in different renowned restaurants in Town. The last night we decided to have dinner at the the Minzah Moroccan Restaurant. We had a beautiful evening. We can say without any hesitation that we had at the Essaouira the best... More

A lovely Moroccon restaurant, lovely ambience and lots of character. We had an excellent dinner on our first visit, Tuna steak for me and Langoustine for my husband ; average prices for both good and wine. On our second visit we both had the langoustine but unfortunately it was cold and the French fries were under cooked, we also waited... More

It's a beautiful restaurant with friendly staff, but frankly the food wasn't good enough. The starter (Moroccan salad) had overcooked green eggs and the rest wasn't tasty. The fish dishes were expensive and had the exact same garnishee for both dishes. The fish was over done and didn't taste that great. Better to go elsewhere!

A luxurous upmarket restaurant with a good location near the sea front. We had excellent service. The fish soup and cous cous were lovely - very generous portions, so if you are not that hungry, one between two might be enough! Slightly more expensive than the other places we ate in Essaouira, but this place is a proper restaurant, rather... More

We luckily stumbled across this on a day trip from marrakesh to the seaside city of essaouira. The decor is amazing giving an upmarket morrocan ambience. Had fresh grilled fish with a very tasty rice, vegetables cooked perfectly in garlic butter and a bottle of red wine for lunch. Finding somewhere to eat that serves wine was really difficult as...
